Seems like a bad score would be easy to notice, too.  Though I'm not sure about it being the worst one.  May have to see it sometime.

It seems like he meant it was just boring.  Boring scores are easy to forget.

Yeah. It's serviceable, but that's all.

Much has been written recently about how good scores don't happen very often anymore, certainly not ones that entire iconic "play a few bars and the whole room knows the rest" status (I think the only great score I've heard lately for for Fury Road, and even that doesn't quite reach that level).

I think for most of the movie, if you notice the score, it's a bad score. There's a place in every movie for a big theme to grab your focus, but most of it should be almost subliminally affecting the mood.

To be fair, the only scores I remember from the Jurassic Park series are all from the first one.

Don't they reuse them for the sequels? Lost World especially?

Maybe some slight changes here and there, much like Jurassic World.

Really, the thing that bugged me about the score in Jurassic World is that when it did bust out the classic theme, it either had it at moments that were meant to really bring home the awe (but didn't), or just arbitrarily placed at otherwise non-noteworthy moments or overly-specific nostalgia spots ("let's see, gotta get the audience back..." "Let's tinkle the piano in a familiar way and call it a day.").

I really liked the movie! It had some very good elements that helps it stand on its own as a unique entry in the series with some great story threads to be picked up later. It even had some character development! I dunno about you guys but... I'll take the awesome pairing of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard over Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum any day.

Really? Because based on that picture they show, it's okay for a movie to encourage the killing of an endangered species for bait.

The new highest opening weekend of all time. General consensus from all corners of the net and beyond is everyone quite liking the movie, having a lot of fun watching it, and considering it a worthy sequel to the original film.

Meanwhile, there's me over in the corner, utterly baffled at the developments around this subpar movie.
