AICN has a pretty cool 2 part interview with Jon Favreau. Which includes him mentioning that he is working with Genndy Tartakovsky for the action sequences in IM2.

They need to shut up about The Avengers until they make all the solo movies. It's a bad idea. You don't have time to introduce all those characters and still have a good plot. And for the record, I think X-Men did not do it well, so that's no model. I don't even see the point of doing The Avengers when they can make more money on individual franchises. Ultimately, it's just one extra movie. But they're not aching for it until they run out of other properties. X-Men, obviously none of those boring sods is good enough for his own movie beyond Wolverine. I mean, I don't think Rogue ever had her own comic. Or Ice Man. I could be wrong. But most of the Avengers, at least the good ones, had solo careers.

And completely unrelated, when Fantastic Four: ROTSS suggested that Johnny and Thing should be the only members of the team, I happen to agree with that. They're the cool ones. Stretchy Guy and Hot Girl You Can't See are worthless.

Jesus, why? So Iron Man can be solely more powerful than the entire Marvel Universe like Mace Windu in "The" Clone Wars? The action in that show was ridiculous. He wants the acclaimed realistic movie to be like a cartoon? Next he'll be asking David Schwimmer for help with the drama.

And why is Favreau now buff, yet Vince Vaughn is fat?

I like that they are planning all of these movies out together, but it makes me wonder what happens if one of them bombs? Thor is so different than the others it may not be accepted widely by audiences. Or, what if Captain America bombs? Avengers it extremely dependent on him.

While I like Mr. Fantastic, I have always felt in the comics that Invisible Woman is worthless. She is so unimaginative with the use of her powers, it pisses me off to no end.

I don't mind the connected movie thing, but when they have RDJ signed up for Iron Man 2 and the Avengers which isn't even written yet, I'm like oy.

Mr. Fantastic I feel is too goofy. He's a ripoff of Plastic Man, who was a comedic character. I mean, he has a badass origin, but with the tights and the glasses he was usually played for comedy. But the Thing is (ha), Torch is based off an older Marvel character, and he was all business. Thing to me is sort of a Hulk ripoff, but he's made of rocks. Not that you'd want to be, but it's a cool power. He clobbers people. Torch sets them on fire. That's a duo you don't mess with. But then when you have a stretchy guy and his wife... it's diluted. Reed's value is his brain. He'd be better if he sent Torch and Thing out on jobs and just stayed home with his wife.

I don't think Thor will be that different. They will probably modernize it and make it fit in. I don't know what they would do if one of the movies is Elektra bad. Maybe that's why they want to do the Avengers too soon. That way, everything is a spinoff. And that's a concept they can wrap their heads around more easily. They're not that bright, execs. They understand sequel, prequel, reboot, and spinoff. They wouldn't know what to call a team-up movie that brings other franchises together.

The Thing came before The Hulk.

With the only differences being that he's dead, and, unlike Palin, is actually qualified to lead.  (Hell, even as a dead guy, he's more qualified).
