At least this trailer FINALLY shows us just what Andy and Peter Serafinowicz were doing together in London for the first half of the current season.

I will never run out of Parks and Rec references to make about this movie.

Although I will say that the emphesis on the human character is a little dissapointing. As he is the least intersting of them. And I could do without the connection to Earth at all in a movie called Guardians of the GALAXY.

Over at the Alan Dean Foster forum people are always asking him to write a story with no humans, since he has developed quite a few non-human and non-humanoid civilizations.  His answer is that he would love to do that but the publishers refuse those ideas when ever he brings it up. 

It's a pretty horrible catch 22, we would need a story with no connection to earth or humans to become a best seller to prove a story like that could sell, but no publisher will print anything without earth or humans in it...

This is what I was waiting for. He did it in a different fashion than he usually does, but now I'm a lot more informed on the characters and this movie than I was before. The link is MovieBob over at the Escapist running through the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer and pointing out the cool and interesting tidbits about it. For instance: Rocket's rap sheet lists Lylla, who is, in fact, his girlfriend and an otter. That's awesome.
