Has anyone who bought Red Dawn before been able to get the new version? (forced subs/volume up)

Just checked out my latest download and no forced subs. I'll try again later.
And I'm worse than Hitler.

I just redownloaded Red Dawn and the new file does have subtitles.

QuoteHow is Red Dawn? Funny? If nothing new this weekend I might buy. But Troll 2 wasn't so great (while Next and Glitter were tops).

Assuming you can hear Joel, the Red Dawn riff is plenty funny, yep.  I dug it a lot.

Great trend - want to see more of it. VOD FTW, screw the mp3 commentaries (just finish the few collections you havent like deathly hallows part 2, etc then end it lol)- clearly vod is more lucrative and better buisness model. Bought hulk and the star wars holiday special yesterda along with ghost house and santas village of madness dvds (was really hoping the shorts would be new/exclusive but no...of course they're stuff thats been put out as VOD taht i own and have seen millions of times already)

i loved troll 2 - rich was great on it IMO. I refuse to watch glitter, cross roads, high school musical, or any movie that consists of far too much pop singing. *vomits* even though im a completeist i cannot bring myself down to that level, ive already seen all of twilight for christ sake.

Red Dawn is a great riff, one of my favorites. That wasnt a VOD (all the VODs conquer any mp3 riff, I hate hollywood blockbusters lol - i only watch them for the riffing)

Star Wars special is a must have, i cannot believe that was even made. Hulk Last Stand is great too, what a strange strange concept for a hulk episode. Rocky, relaly? lol. I could forsee the fanmade star trek ones becoming vod - because honestly besides hardcore star trek fans - who owns those dvds, or knows of an outlet that rents them?! lol

Were Planet of the Dinosaurs, VoodoMan, Maniac (crazy movie, awesome riff), santa and the ice cream bunny, galaxy invader or crater lake monster, etc (missle to the moon, swing parade etc) VOD before? Im not sure ot be honest as I owned the dvds/hulu plus. speaking of which - why havent they updated the rifftrax hulu plus (or amazon instant) in AGES - its just all old old old stuff. Some of them are even original mike-only riffs.

I wish there was a feature where you could enter you UPC code (Or something) for your dvd, if you bought it from another store like amazon or ebay - and have it added to your library collection. Would be a cool function/seems easy enough to do.

You are missing out. High School Musical was great!

The Star Trek fan films are never going to be VOD because of the rights issues involved.  They did try and release them as VOD originally, but were asked to take them down.  There are also no DVDs available anywhere, because legally no one can make a profit off of distributing them.  They are free downloads available online.

Agreed! And their riffing during the songs is the best part too.

They were all VODs before they were DVDs etc.

No discount if you own the MP3? That used to be a thing right?

majorjoe23

I don't think that was a thing. It wasn't for any of the past MP3-VODs I owned.
