Damn it man, for a second there you got my hopes up that HSM was a VOD now. As others said 5 years ago, that riff is awesome, one of their all time best.

And Glitter is also freaking hilarious.

Hope this is not TOO far off topic, but I figured I'd ask the question first before starting a whole new thread...

Is there a list of which Rifftrax VODs have been upgraded to HD or better quality? I know that they upgraded the Star Wars Holiday Special (as much as possible)... The reason I'm asking is because they recently upgraded Warriors of the Wasteland. The ONLY reason I was aware of this was because they briefly mentioned it at the bottom of the DRIP subscription email (DRIPmail???) I received for the latest 1990: Bronx Warriors Talkin' Rifftrax release. As I excitedly purchased the $2 HD upgrade, I giggled like a schoolgirl & wondered: "Hey... One of my favorite riffs, R.O.T.O.R., looks like complete visual trash hot glue gunned onto an old VHS tape using EP mode... I wonder if by some miracle it's been upgraded, since Scream Factory recently released a way-too-nice-for-R.O.T.O.R. Special Edition on blu ray?" And--B.L.A.M.O.!!! It WAS, in fact, UPGRADED TO HD!!! SPOILER: I bought that one too! Totally awesome surprise, but random... So, I searched a handful of my other favorites to see if there were other upgrades I was unaware of, but no luck beyond R.O.T.O.R... I tried to do a search with the "Available in HD" filter ticked, but the two recent HD upgrades didn't show up on the list, nor any other upgraded surprises... So, I figured I'd have to search ALL of the VODs one by one...

I'm not sure how I missed this (& other HD upgrades). I assume, like Warriors of the Wasteland, it was probably modestly mentioned in a RIFFTRAX subscription email for a NEW release. I don't know what grander ploy that they could utilize to draw attention to the HD upgrades, but it would be cool if there was some clear indication or way to search for which ones were upgraded on rifftrax.com... As long as I'm aware that they are available, I'm happy--hell, EXCITED--to purchase ANY upgraded re-releases! ESPECIALLY some of the earlier ones like Abraxas, Laser Mission, etc...

Anyways, kids... I've noticed there are some nice, concise "LISTS" on the forum, which is why I came to the Rifftrax forum. I was wondering if anyone knows which VODs have been upgraded... A list, of sorts, or simply share your knowledge of which ones to benefit the Rifftrax community... and if not, should the community start a list? As I said before, I'm not sure exactly if there are enough that have been upgraded to warrant a "LIST". But, I know there are, at least, three that I know of.

I know the MAIN emphasis for we hardcore Rifftrax fans is HIGH QUALITY humor and NOT necessarily HIGH QUALITY video--I mean, especially if you've been a fan since the MST3k days. BUT, it's nice to get a good video every now & then when you have a decent TV. If Rifftrax are making the effort to upgrade the quality, then I'm sure they'd like for us to know about it so we can pay them for their effort & the luxury of having MUCH better video to go along with the great comedy...

I'll hang up & listen...

I am more than willing to put up a dedicated thread. Usually these threads are a community effort like this thread since none of these have ever been advertised as becoming available. We just find them periodically.  I will start a thread with these titles and see where it goes!

I think this is a great idea.
It was always going to be a little awkward to have to sync everything up manually, which would have to lend itself to just pirate somebody else syncing it into the video and then purchasing/donating to support.

I'm also really liking these "lost" indie movies that they're releasing with the riff already on it.
There has to be a lot of those out there. All kinds of aspiring filmmaker efforts over the years who would appreciate it ever getting seen.
Even to make fun of it. Tommy Wiseau made bookoo and a movie about himself with jj abrams just for making fun of his effort.

And in general I think that might be the next step in entertainment product. Getting everything back to a community of self empowered content creators.
AWAY from the big overpriced jj abrams stink and back towards Roger Corman style products owned by the creators without the big studio's.
And these lost indie clunkers would be the prototypes that deserve to be preserved. In some way. Even to make fun of them.
