If Martians is the Christmas show, color me incredibly disappointed.  I don't need three different riffs for the same film.  Heck, I already thought the CT version was overkill, but I guess the movie isn't one of my favs to begin with.
I draw comics!

Did a search on the Canadian Cineplex iOS app and found a listing for Rifftrax Santa Clause Conquers the Martians.

Hasn't Santa Clause Conquers the Martins been riffed to death already? MST3K and Cinematic Titanic have done this already. I'd really like something new.
I'd like to see them riff something like Santa Clause: The Movie in a Live show.

That could be great but when they riff stuff that's already supposed to be funny it doesn't always workout.
Santa Claus: The Movie isn't supposed to be an outright comedy, is it? Maybe it is, it's been years since I've seen it.

No, but it is incredibly riffable.  The first half-hour alone a horrifying nightmare of cheeriness, it seems to go on forever.
In that case Hor-Riff-ic Productions should riff it. You know how much they just LOOOOOOVE unrelenting cuteness.

This thread is a bit de-railed...

Anyways, just got back from NotLD, was even better than I was hoping.

"This must be what it's like to get stuck on an elevator with Nancy Grace!"

"My morning walk!" "My berry-picking!"

For those who were on the edge of their seats wondering: Yes. I chose Rifftrax over the They Might Be Giants concert. It was a bit cheaper and something Tyrant could enjoy with me a little bit easier. I laughed and laughed and laughed and I regret NOTHING!

My audience didn't seem to be into it as much, which was kind of a bummer. It was a pretty good experience either way, anyway.

At least they're getting larger audiences, when I went to the Birdemic show there were only three other people there.

See, I think Spokane has a larger nerd/riffing fan contingent or something; I've had a fairly full showing every time I've gone. Starship Troopers was packed.

KidFlash

Yeah, the theatre I go to in Rochester (NY) has been fairly packed for each one I've attended.

You can argue about the merits of RT versus CT, but what can't be argued is that at least RT gets the word out.

d00hickey

The earlier live shows I saw in San Francisco and they were all pretty much sold out. Last year I moved to the Sierras (near Yosemite) and the closest theaters are about a 2 hr drive in the central valley and all those shows had very few people except for Starship Troopers.

Pak-Man

There was a bit of a dip in Rifftrax Live attendance here in NM that started around the time of the Reefer Madness Show. Everything started picking up again with Manos and the last 2 shows have been more packed than ever.

Babysitter fell through at the last minute.  Is this one getting a replay?

Doesn't look like it. I think they would have announced it at the show.

Guess I'm waiting on the DVD then.

Ever since Thursday night I keep trying to work "Some times there are raisins," into conversation.
