I don't know about you guys but I'm pretty excited.  After Starship Troopers, I'm actually fine with them doing a public domain freebie.  I have a feeling there will be some naysayers about another re-riff of the legend titles though.  What say you?

So it's defiantly the public domain version? I'm disappointed - I never had the opportunity to see Starship Troopers, so I was hoping this one would be a bit more exciting. Oh well.
FINE

Yes, they confirmed it would be the 1968 version.  However they also showed a slide which said Fathom will be reshowing Starship Troopers in September.  Hopefully some people who were unfortunate enough to miss tonight's show may get to see it next month.

Won't help my case, but I do hope lots of people get to see it.

Welp...on the bright side at least we can be basically guaranteed a VOD/DVD of this one!

I hope they do it in black and white. I have the colorized version, and it doesn't do much for me.

This one I can confirm: it will be in black & white. We did a lot of research and testing and found a kick-ass element that looks glorious - it's going to be a great Halloween show.

Mike and Co. are actually going to devour a human being? Glorious, indeed.

Nice! Is it going to be the same riffs as the MKB version, or mostly rewritten?

(I have no idea)

I think the Plan 9 and Haunted Hill riffs were mostly the same.

But I haven't seen the three-riffer NOTLD, so it'll all be new to me.

Locuststakethesky

Three-Riffer NOTLD is great.  Maybe I like it so much since it's one of my favorite movies, but I won't complain if it's not completely rewritten.  As I said before, after all the work they put in to Starship Troopers show, I'm fine with them doing something a little easier for October.  I'm sure it will still be a great show.

Darth Geek

I wonder if they are going to also have a Christmas show this year.

It'd be nice to see them bump up the shows now that CT is ending.

I would go nuts if they did Ice Cream Bunny or Magic Christmas Tree in a live setting. Hell, I'd love a RT take on Santa Claus Conquers the Martians to go along with the MST3K and CT versions.

That said, if they do edit the riffs of NOTLD for the show, I hope they add more jokes instead of replacing old ones. From what I remember, the current riff seems kinda bare in spots.
