Starman!

 :D

Who wants to hear an offensive Asain joke? I showed my friend this movie on Amazon and he started singing "We all make shoes together!"

I finally scored a somewhat reasonable copy of this:

Along w/ that, I scored this, too:

Love Nightmares. My mom went to high school with the woman who played Lisa in the Terror in Topanga story. Also Lee Ving from FEAR is in that segment too.

Oh man, you can't imagine how much the Bishop fucked w/ me as a kid. My inner dialogue asking "That can't happen to me, right?!!'.

I bought the Looney Tunes platinum blu ray.  I'm actually pretty disappointed in it. I don't really feel that these shorts benefit very much from the increased resolution; mostly it just shows off dirt and dust on the cels.  I've only worked through 9 of the shorts so far, but color me unimpressed.

I'd rather they go back to the golden collections with more new toons per set, personally.
How much duplication is there from the previous sets? I have all the Golden Collections and don't really want to double dip, even for BluRay.

Starman!

Relaxing Dragon

Just arrived today. Ordered the UK edition so I could get all the extras that were on the DVD release (the US version of the Blu-Ray is sadly lacking in that department).

I need to check out the UK Amazon more often. They've got a lot of stuff that's different or unavailable stateside, are pretty good about being region free, and also tend to work out as cheaper than then US versions (the Alien Quadrilogy is a good example, I basically got that at half price this way).

Pak-Man

Well we traded in all the DVDs that we had doubles of on Blu-ray, took the cash, and put it toward this when it was only $50 a couple days ago on Amazon. Net cost to us after the cash we traded for? $13.

It's a niiiice set, even if the special features are all on standard DVDs.

That's a nice, big ol' block of adventure/fantasy right there. Don't drop it on your foot!

Tabloid is really great.  But then, it's an Errol Morris film, so I suppose that's a given.

MrTorso

Yeah I have never been disappointed with any of his films. Some I will probably never revisit that often but I have enjoyed them all.

Prince of Space 5049

The Thing 2011
Although I thought the lead actress was horrid, I still enjoyed this "prequel" for it's clever set up so that I could pop in John Carpenter's version as soon as this one ends.  It doesn't rely too heavily on CGI and goes old school on some of the effects.  This was a better movie than I expected.  I actually had a wonderful cold Saturday night watching all 3 versions in one sitting.  "Pass the popcorn please................."

Starman!

I love Red State.

Anyways, I bought this one the other day because I read on Blu-Ray.com that the Blu-Ray is going to go OOP soon (I think for another expensive box set)

And we won this classic on the radio:

Compound

Aside from Frankenstein Island, I just picked up these:

That B-Movie pack is full of impressively bad films, although I think is the 4th time that I've purchased "The Creeping Terror" now. Oh and maniacal laugh.
