I've tried to get into LordKat's Until We Win series just because it's interesting to see some of those old school NES games and so forth, but he basically does the same video every time and I get bored.  Most of the time he just tells you to "play the shit out of it" and that "you're going to die...a lot" and leaves it at that without being helpful.  Sometimes I get a laugh or two out of the Nostalgia Chick, but most of the time I just wonder how long she can keep rolling her eyes.  Seems like she does it on every line she speaks.  Maybe it's a habit for when she's thinking of the next line or something.

I do enjoy Lord Kat's video even if they are generally the same, hopefully he'll branch out (as most of these reviewers seem to do eventually) and do videos on something else that interests him.

From what I've gathered, I think Nostalgia Chick would have given the whole thing up by now if not for fact that its helping her pay for film school.  Which may explain why some her videos are less than exciting at times.

Couldn't keep caught up on this through the week, but I'm about to watch the final part now.

That is...

1-4 were unbelievable.  The ending of the 4th one had me ready to say "OK. Life complete.  I saw the most awesome thing ever"

5 ended up being a huge let down for me and 6 seemed like a rushed ending.

Overall though this is still better than any movie that will come out this year, probably.

Bloopers are pretty cool too,

RoninFox

5 was pretty good for me, true I could have stood a lot more of Insano's kickassery especially after the incredible build-up he had and the awesome transformation scene, but all in all I was satisfied.  Also:

I, surprisingly, agree.  The trailer was so bad-a, I didn't think they could uphold that for a feature-length runtime, but, for the most part, they did!  Yeah, the ending (Part 6) should've been more epic, but the beginning, and I suppose as a whole, it will prob be one of the best things I see all year.  And I'm not even a fan of most of the people there.  Haha.

Possibly my most favorite line (because there were so many):

RoninFox

The more I think about it I actually love how low key the ending it, its a jarring contrast to the conflict earlier and it throws you off guard.  NC's expressions in that last bit of dialogue are hilarious.

I would have preferred if

One of the other things I was blown away about this is that Cinema Snob is actually a pretty good actor.  He's probably the only one who might actually be passable in a real Hollywood movie.  Most of the others probably wouldn't even make it on a shitty Sci-Fi Channel B movie, even though they were all intentionally overacting for this like Spoony.

I think I actually like your idea of

Agreed about Cinema Snob.  He was charismatic and had a strong character without being too cartoonish... and, well... could act.  I don't think anyone's overacting was worse than Phelous'.  His words and whole body language practically rolled in syncopation with his eyes (though Film Brain is a close second).  Even Handsome Tom's non-acting is better than most of the overacting.  And why couldn't MarzGurl keep a straight face?  I expect a little of that here and there but not when your character is supposed to be played so hardboiled.  Major props to the rest tho.  Even newcomer LordKat held his ground pretty well.

I agree about Phelous' acting, but according to Spoony's commentary here http://spoonyexperiment.com/2010/05/22/kickassia-spoony-commentary/ being manic is quite different from his normal behavior. Never been much of a fan of his reviews anyway, though.
I thought Angry Joe was really great in this too. And while Film Brain's acting wasn't stellar, I loved his weasel kiss-ass character and arc.
Probably the biggest surprise was
Now I wanna draw muscles on my flabby torso like 8-Bit Mickey. :D

I'm still waiting to see what the inevitable Spooning with Spoony 3 is going to entail.

A shame that That Chick With the Goggles wasn't there. She is sexy as hell!
