I cannot WAIT for this! I love TGWTG and particularly the last years Brawl was epic awesomeness.

Does anybody know who the older guy is?

RobtheBarbarian

If this isn't the best thing ever I defy you to tell me what is.

Judging from Wikipedia research, he seems to actually be Kevin Baugh, and he actually is the ruler of Molossia. So, that part of the story actually appears to be true.

This just leads me to wonder how Doug and the crew got in touch with him to do this project, and where the idea came from.

Probably a wayward Google search.

I've actually known about Molossia and seen interviews and stuff before in different articles and tv shows.  It pops up in Weird News stories and such.  It even topped Cracked's list of Fun Size Countries: The Insane Histories of the World's 6 Tiniest Nations.  Actually, that article is a good candidate for their inspiration (it has close to a million views).  Another good guess is the Chicago-Tribune (remember, TGWTG is located in Chicago) that covered it before:

My best guess tho?  Someone (Doug, Doug's brother, whoever) heard about the country, knew Vegas was close by, the "Invade Canada" mentality joke struck them, and it was unanimously decided to make a trip/project out of it.

Unrelated, Doug's outfit beats the pants off of Raul Julia's.  And the OP needs a few more ZOMGs, EVARs, and !!!!!1!one!!1unicorn!11!s in the title.

Everytime I see that guy I can't help but think of Jim Backus' militia commander character in Angels Revenge.

I was going more for Chester A. Bum than for Valley Girl, but I can see where my spelling of "Oh My God" confused you.

I have to say I thought that trailer about 10 times funnier than I've found any of the Youtube videos by the people involved, I reeeeeeally didn't like the Batman Returns riff though so I won't be rushing to check it out.

M. Bison outfit was pretty badass though

Well, it was a Batman Forever riff, so if you synced it up with the wrong movie, then I can understand it would make little sense. Cinester Theater riffed Batman Returns (and did a great job IMO).

Huh, it's interesting that you say that, because the funniest (and coolest) parts of the trailer for me were the way the reviewers used all their running gags (LInkara's use of the Patton line, Spoony becoming Dr. Insano, etc.) I wouldn't expect a non-Channel Awesome fan to find this all that amusing.

I loved the Dr. Insano stuff, and the Patton line. Although I think it should have been "You magnificent BASTARD! I read your BLOG!"

I love how much is wrong here.  They host on blip.tv (some of it exists or gets transferred over by others to YouTube).  And it was Batman Forever (as DG pointed out).  I was actually confused at first cuz I thought you were about to reference Cinester Theater or something.  Haha.

Yeah, I don't like most of the reviewers either (some of them scream amateur), but it's totally worth it for Nostalgia Critic (and Chick), even if there were 20 more reviewers I didn't care about.  I'm also glad to see new recruits Cinema Snob and LordKat are there too, tho I've stopped watching LordKat.  Just waiting for him to do another game I've played/heard of again.

Once you said "Chester A. Bum", I totally heard his voice in my head as I reread the title.  I get it now.  Ha... whoops.

I'm a fan of some of these guys, and others kinda bore me.  I'll be sure to give it a look for the NC, Linkara and Spoony.  I've tried to get into LordKat's Until We Win series just because it's interesting to see some of those old school NES games and so forth, but he basically does the same video every time and I get bored.  Most of the time he just tells you to "play the shit out of it" and that "you're going to die...a lot" and leaves it at that without being helpful.  Sometimes I get a laugh or two out of the Nostalgia Chick, but most of the time I just wonder how long she can keep rolling her eyes.  Seems like she does it on every line she speaks.  Maybe it's a habit for when she's thinking of the next line or something.

Forever, my apologies.
