MIckey Rourke would be perfect for a Marvel Zombies film.

Hmmmm.....I'd read that Whiplash gets a major upgrade (Saw swiped pictures of action figure with a suspicious name from Comicon I believe.) towards the end of the movie. What you see is just his protoform, but that's just conjecture at this point.

Anyways, as Whiplash is now, he reminds me an awful lot of another Marvel character from the X-Men comics who's closely connected to Wolverine called Omega Red.

I daresay that Mickey Rourke would have made a great Arkady Rossovich if they hadn't cast him in Ironman 2.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

I've kind of assumed that Roarke's character is 1/3 Whiplash, 1/3 Crimson Dynamo, 1/3 Omega Red, but the studio can't say that because Fox technically owns that character. (Though I doubt they'd ever use him.)

Jeez, Iron Man's rogue's gallery really sucks now that I think about it. Living Laser? Spymaster? Titanium Man? *snicker*

Yet somewhere on the internet some one will call Iron Man 2 the worst movie ever because Living Lazer was not the villain.

Not uh.  Gazerbean is good for nothing except sucking and dieing in caves.

I'm secretly disappointed it's not Fin Fang Foom:

There's always hope for a surprise cameo!

Iron Man used to fight the winged snakes from Dragon Wars: D-Wars?

Yeah maybe Stark will stop himfromwalking in front of a car,or maybe he will pull a little girl out of the way of falling bricks,or maybe he will get turned away from Tony Stark's wedding.

Or he can introduce him at a wrestling match or turn him away at the door when he's late for a play....  :D

Cool looking preview.  I think Whiplash is a pretty forgettable villain in the comics, but at the same time that means he's enough of a blank slate that something interesting can be done with him.  Personally, I think that if the story is going where I'm thinking (especially with Black Widow involved) Hawkeye might have been a better choice of villain (since that's how he started in the comics).  Still, I'm expecting the REAL villain will be someone like Justin Hammer or Sunset Bain.  Which is to say another industrialist or sinister politician/government agent, who wants to get his hands on the tech.  While I'm sure that this film will be good, I'm hoping the third and final (please) one will be a mix of the armor wars, Mandarin and (if it's not covered in this film) his struggle with alcoholism.

You know, the title of this thread needs to be updated I think.

Or he could pretend to be French and help ruin Stark's date with Pepper.

Another industrialist trying to steal the technology was pretty much the last movie.

I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

What with Sam Rockwell playing Justin Hammer, I think Johnny nailed it.
