So are all the other villains going to be guys in powersuits too?  I know nothing of this comic.

There was the Mandarin who used ten magic rings, and you had a technology vs mysticism... but for the most part they got super suits.

Cheadle has already taken his place. Howard wanted too much money.

BAH.  Cheadle is a very good actor but Howard had that shit on lock.  I'm pretty dissapointed with his selfishness.
A spell was cast and the sky turned red.  The Angel's heart froze to ice.  Roses of blood from an innocent soul.  On the plain lies an Angel dead.

I'm worried about Crimson Dynamo, since the documentaries for Iron Man clearly had War Monger labeled as Crimson Dynamo in several of the interviews, shots, concept art, etc. Which means they have to make a completely different design that works for something which they already made a design that works just to make it look different. And yeah, the series will get old fast if every villain is the same.

Worry no more because the Crimson Dynamo will have a Russian accent which would make him exotic and new and not at all like the previous villain.

Ooooh, ahhhh.

So do they explain Mickey Rourke's face by having Robert Downey Jr. throw him over a railing and into a vat of acid?

THR says that Rourke would play a tattooed Russian heavy named Ivan who becomes a man with deadly, technologically enhanced coils.

So... that would be Omega Red? I thought he was one of Captain America's villains? I guess it could be part of the whole tie-in process with them making Captain America and then the Justice League movie in the next few years... hmm.

Omega Crimson Red Dynamo.

Hopefully he would look more like Crimson Dynamo, because I doubt I could sit through a movie where Mickey Rourke looks like Omega Red.

Looks like Mickey Rourke is back in the movie still playing an unspecified Russian villain.  And now Scarlett Johansson will be in as The Black Widow bringing us one step closer to a scene with her and Sam Jackson in Nazi Stalinist SHIELD gear.

Also Marvel moved all its movie dates except for Iron Man 2 (the future greatest comic book based of all time, sorry, SpiderMan SpiderMan 2  X-Men X-Men 2 Iron Man The Dark Knight Watchmen):

IRON MAN 2: formerly May 7, 2010, now May 7, 2010
THOR: formerly July 16, 2010, now June 17, 2011
CAPTAIN AMERICA: formerly May 6, 2011, now July 22, 2011
THE AVENGERS: formerly July 15, 2011, now May 4, 2012

And officially greenlit SpiderMan 4.  Hurray?

Doctor Who?

YES!

WE ARE GETTING A CAPTAIN AMERICA MOVIE!

HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVORITES!

I HOPE IT HAS RED SKULL AS THE VILLAIN!

I HOPE IT'S AS GOOD AS IRON MAN AND THE INCREDIBLE HULK!

THIS IS GREAT! :highfive: :highfive: :highfive: :highfive: :highfive: :highfive: :highfive: :highfive: :highfive: :highfive:

What exactly can a female character without superpowers do that amounts to ANYTHING (other than being T&A) in a movie where the main characters have superpowered suits? Seriously, yeah SJ is hot, but adding her character is just going to take away screen time from the others I'm most interested in.

Er, I wouldn't mind seeing ScarJo with a sniper rifle. I'm sure I DON'T know what she can do in the movie, but it's not like she can create a more gaping hole of a character than Gwyneth Paltrow did. Plus she will be in form fitting black leather.

So, on the Iron Man 2 front, the IMDB states that Mickey Rourke will play the Russian villain Whiplash. Which will really be impressive, since... well, I'll just let the picture speak for itself...

Oh, and according to Wikipedia, she was born in Wilmington, Delaware, which I'm guessing is near Kyrgyzstan?

Rude

...

You've got the wrong Whiplash there. Look for Blacklash...
