Official count of times I could have cried during this movie...two. One was hearing Rainbow Connection again, the other was seeing the picture of Jim Henson on Kermit's office wall.
Oh yeah, me too. The picture of Jim Henson was a perfect moment.

I think this movie is mostly for us older folks who remember the original pre-Henson-death Muppets.... A movie that reminds us to be kids again and about how much we love the Muppets.

I love this movie.  I am gonna go download it now.
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

A friend of mine, who only a few years older than me took his son to see the new Muppet movie. Somehow, he is not familiar with the Muppet Show or the movies (except knowing about Kermit and seeing bits of the movies here and there). His son is six (and presumably isn't that familiar with them either. They both really liked it. SO I guess it is a decent jumping on point for newbies. I am definitely letting him borrow my DVDs of the movies and show while I'm gone so they can watch those as well.

FINALLY got around to seeing this movie.  I really liked it.  My only complaints: Fozzie sounded odd when doing his softer voice, the chickens doing F*** You, (oh sorry, Forget You  ::) ) and Selena Gomez has a really weird shaped head. I didn't need to see that.

I loved the self-deprecating humor, the general silliness of things, and Dave Grohl as Animool cracked me up.  Not my favorite Muppet movie, but it was so much better than some of those other clunkers they've rolled out lately like the Wizard of Oz. (Although the Tarantino cameo was hilarious in that one.)

I'm glad we didn't drag the kids along so my wife and I could actually watch the movie rather than do the constant "Shh", "get back in your seat", etc. that would have ensued if they were there.

Just a few more days and it's out here finally! Can hardly wait!

Yeah, I hate Selena Gomez's face and entire head.... She was my only real complaint as well.

Well, that and they needed Steve Martin in it SOMEWHERE.  I would have written in them asking him to host, and him turning them down in a typical Steve Martin fashion.

I apologize if this is a dumb question:  Is this movie a musical?  I really don't like singing in movies so I don't want to take the time to find a decent download if I'm going to be subjected to singing every 5 minutes.  It's one of the reasons why I hate West Side Story.

Still can't find a version for TinTin that's not a CAM.

It does have a few songs in it, so it is a musical. But it's not every five minutes that they have a song. Probably a total six or so throughout the 1hour 43 minute runtime.

With the exception of a few big numbers, it felt the least musical-y of any Muppet movie that wasn't "From Space". Could be because a good chunk of the songs were Muppet Show Vaudeville style instead of Movie Musical style.

Smith Dr John Smith

It had about the same amount of music as The Muppet movie and I like everything except the songs that focused on Amy Adams(I felt they brought the plot to a dead stop). I have to say thins was my favorite movie last year and I think it had more of Jim Henson's spirit in it then any Muppet movie made since he died.  I really enjoyed it.
Fave Rifftrax:The Room Fave MST3K:Manos
Fave DW story of last year:TAP/TRF.  Fave classic series story:Inferno
Fave film of 2011:Tie The Muppets/Tintin
Fave iRiff group:One wall cinema
Fave movie:Citizen Kane.
Still stuck on dial up.
Ignore me or report me.

So you're not going to bother illegally downloading something if it has something in it you don't like?  Yeah, way to stick it to the man!

It's got not nothing to do with that.  I don't want to waste disk space downloading something I probably won't like.  I'm going to be skipping this one just for that reason.  I don't pirate movies for the hell of it.  I pirate movies I actually want to see instead of paying to see in the theater just in case I don't like it, that way, I can just delete the file and I"m not out $11.00.

Okay, let's apply that logic to other areas of your life.  Would you steal food just so you don't have to spend money on it in case you don't like it?  Would you steal clothes in case they don't look good on you?  I'm not saying I'm not guilty of a little internet piracy, but I mainly download things that are out of print or otherwise would have no access to, and if I get the chance, I'll buy it legally.  But I'd much rather take a chance and spend money on something without knowing I'm going to like it than break the law so I can try it for free.

no but in these other areas, you can try free samples, or you can try on clothes and later return them and get your money back.
