I really am upset about the live show thing though.  The theatre near me always plays the encore and this time they didn't!  Bad people...plus I'm easily amused by coveralls.

Hi Mike,
I know this is going to sound like a really bizarre request, so I'll try (and probably fail) to get it out of the way quickly.  You see, I've always had a problem with understanding those quirky things called "social cues", the little signs that people read in someone's voice or body language that everybody else on the planet seems to take for granted.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that, despite the fact that I love your comedy, the whole "affectionate parody" thing is sort of lost on me because I cannot (and probably never will be able to) tell whether a joke is an affectionate rib, vicious satire or a genuine complaint.

Would it hurt you guys to break character on occasion and sort out which riffed movies you guys actually DO like?  You know, for the, uh, socially challenged folks like me out there?

I don't think we'll even get a definitive list of what is just in jest or not, just because it is so varied.
I don't think it matters so much on their ends either since if you agree or disagree with their tastes/wether some thing was in jest or serious ly a burn, if you like something they don't or hate something they like, yourself having thick skin is more important. They're just jokes, just relax.

My question is this: I've been watching bad movies for many years now, and some of my favorites have been ones that I saw on MST3K.  However, there is one that Mike and the Bots (which would make an excellent name for a rock band) never got to.  That's because it was made in 2000 in that wonderful land of spectacular movie-making---Canada.  It's an atrocity the likes of which hasn't been seen since "Manos: The Hands of Fate", and it's called "Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter."  I was hoping that you have already seen it, or at least heard of it, and I would also like to know if you have or ever will riff that film?  Thanks for all the years of laughter.
