Hey, the more people accept a talking raccoon, the more likely we are to get this in a movie.

Yes. I think the Cube is supposed to be one of them, and that red thing at the end of Thor 2 was supposed to be another one.

Yes, both the Tesseract and the Aether are infinity gems. They reference it in the scene with the Collector. "It's not wise to keep two infinity stones in the same place."

When I went to see that Winter Warrior flick with the Marvel version of Superman, (oh they copied off each others papers constantly, let's just admit it, they shared the same artists and writers for crimeny sakes!), I saw a trailer for the Guardians of the Galaxy.... I have to admit it looked pretty cool... and the talking racoon was pretty convincingly cool...

That is hard for me to admit.... but, I think of you youse guyses as my friends....

Yeah... Captain America is not the Marvel version of Superman. He's a much more compelling character. Stories are VERY different. Having the same theme as BASICALLY the "Leader" does not the same character make.

As a Batman fan, first; any dude with super powers or aliens is suspicious, second, any dude who believes the government without question is suspect. Superman is the same kind of jingoist as Captain America.

Plus, Cap, like Superman, is a Jock, Batman is a detective nerd.... Superman and Cap punch their way through things.... Batman analyses and takes action despite the common mentality.

Batman is a real guy. Using training and guile and mental acuity to defeat bad guys, Superman and Cap (et al.) use punchy powers and un-natural, Satanic prowess to become mythological demi-gods.

Not that I have any thing against Satan.... I just think He has an unfair advantage.... If Batman lived in the X-men Universe, he would be very against mutant powers. He might be for their freedom, BUT he would keep very close eye on them and keep a close list of all of their weaknesses. So, that he could defeat them if they got "uppity".

It is why he has the largest collection of Kryptonite (of all colours), in the world, even above Lex Luthor, just to keep that alien freak in line.

Freakin' Superman....

Oh more to the point.... in the '40's Superman was fighting Nazis, and DC comics were selling like nutty-go-crazy, Lee and Kirby came up with Captain America specifically to staunch that bleeding. Then there was Nick Fury and his Howling Commandos (which is now called Capt America and his Howling Commandos) also Nick Fury used ta be a cigar chomping white dude with a severe crew cut and an eye patch. They kept the eye patch.

During the 60's James Bond era they folded Nick Fury into SHIELD and the rest is history.

Aqua-man = Sub-Mariner, The Vision (my favourite Avenger) = Jon the Martian Man-hunter (the Vision would kick his ass), Batman (the very first super-hero), became Iron Man, a billionaire playboy with a butler named Jarvis and a secret identity... (yes in the movies Jarvis is a computer and Tony Stark is known as Iron Man but that was not how it was in the comics....)

Also, Bruce Wayne paid for the Justice league, just as Stark paid for The Avengers.... For almost every DC character you can find a Marvel analogue and vice-versa....

Yeah, Bruce Wayne has super powers to some degree that he might not be aware of.  Which is why you don't see many billionaire CEOs that are olympic level gymnasts, fighting in heavy weight MMA matches while publishing in mainstream peer reviewed scientific journals that they also translated into 10 different languages all by themselves.  He has super powers, read his list of abilities on DC wiki.  Just because you have a metric fuck ton of money doesn't mean you are mentally capable of learning all of the skills he has to expert level while running your company and training your body to operate at its physical peak.

Et tu, Swipe?

Listen, Batman trained for like a thousand hours to be a super ninja, fighting machine, plus he inherited, like, a million thousand trillion dollars! He's just a really, really fortunate, guy, OK?

Plus, he's "The World's Greatest Detective" plus, he's got a gigantic Johnson, just ask Robin!

That last was WAaaAAY over the top, I am so sorry....

Neither Stark nor Bruce Wayne could possibly fund "Shield" or "The Watchtower", respectively. I mean, these things are way beyond the budgets of the entire planet.... Plus, superheroes, in general, kill thousands of innocents to get one bad guy, (knocking over entire buildings, neighbourhoods.... etc...). They are worse than Godzilla ever was.... especially Superman.... with his punching through the planet... and shits.

Just pointing out something thats been bugging me for a while.  Also, I don't think Tony Stark funded SHIELD.  He bought the Avengers a mansion, totally within his means though.
