Whu?  Huh?  I was clearly late for this bit of news (was it covered in another thread?)!  Spielberg is fixing E.T... by taking out all the crap from the last time he fixed E.T.!  The guns are back!  Penis breath is back!  And as far as I know, E.T. remains a practical effect!  Yay!

Seems unlike Lucas, Spielberg ended up regretting the special edition of his classic film, so now here went and put his house back in order.  But you gots to wait for October for the Blu-Ray.

This sounds pretty wild.

James Franco, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Paul Rudd, Rihanna & More Freak Out In Set Pics From 'The End Of The World'

QuoteYou want to know how far the branches of the Judd Apatow tree go? Just look at the cast of "The End Of The World." Not only does it feature pretty much the regular Apatow players including Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd, Jay Baruchel and Jason Segel, it also features friends and celebs like Michael Cera, Aziz Ansari, Emma Watson and Rihanna. In short, anybody even vaguely related to Apatow's circle will probably pop up as the movie continues rolling, and speaking of which, the first set pics have landed.

Why so serious? Well, as you might guess from the title, the movie takes place at the end of the world with everyone gathered at James Franco apartment where he'll be playing himself, naturally. That's about all we know about the movie based on the popular short "Jay And Seth Vs. The Apocalypse." Seth Rogen is making his directorial debut alongside his regular collaborator Evan Goldberg, so we'll see what he's learned from being in front of the camera, as he goes behind it.

BRANDED

QuoteThis trailer for Branded looks more than a little creepy with echoes of David Cronenberg, John Carpenter and even David Fincher. The premise? Mind control and global domination via advertising with subliminal messages that trigger irresistible appetites and urges to consume mass quantities. From Roadside Attractions, the English-language Russian production stars Ed Stoppard, Leelee Sobieski, Jeffrey Tambor, Ingeborga Dapkunaite and Max von Sydow. Written and directed by Jamie Bradshaw and Alexander Doulerain, Branded opens September 7th. You'll see a lot of those smartphone codes that enable an interactive experience of the movie's "alternative universe of out-of-control brands, consumer gluttony and insatiable materialism."

Interesting. I fucking love Max von Sydow as the villain.

It also sounds like it could a baggy pile of self-indulgent rubbish, with the size of that cast.  Here's hoping they can harness the right talents from the group.

If they start handing out special "sunglasses", Rowdy Roddy Piper might find himself all out of bubblegum.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't ever actually have any bubble gum, and just uses it as an excuse for random bouts of violence.

Sideswipe

Are you calling Rowdy Roddy Piper a liar?  You better stock up on bubblegum in case he comes looking for some!

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

Wait, was he shaking aliens down for gum in that whole film?

Sideswipe

I don't know.  Perhaps the whole situation could have been avoided if they had simply offered him some bubblegum instead of opting for the ass kicking.

I had no idea they were already filming on Iron Man 3, untill I saw this first still the other day.

Noticve that most of the later suits look so much alike. I am really hoping for the Hulkbuster armor or some variant in that style pretty soon.
