I didn't comb this entire thread, so forgive me if this was already covered:

Guys, Tom Arnold has left the stage.  Let him lie in peace*.  And Horatio Sanz does not justify ongoing torment.  I understand there are lots of new kiddies 'round these parts since the Twilight riffs - I have to imagine piling on these 90s (or even late 80s) fatsos has to be confusing to them, and it does nothing for us older kids anymore.

Please also note that there are _currently_ famous fat persons other than John Goodman, and those others are generally much more cretinous and scorn-worthy.

Ok, all done bitching about the funniest people working in media today.

* (...face-down in a bowl of BEEFARONI   ZING!)
Agreed. It would be more interesting to make the joke something different like an old, old reference, like to William Howard Taft (the fattest US President) or to Oliver Hardy (the fat one in Laurel and Hardy)
 Too soon!

And along similar lines, is Kelsey Grammer the only celebrity ever to get into a car crash, guys?  Really?

In one sense, such running jokes are self-sustaining.  You make it once, and listeners figure out what you're talking about, so you do it again the next riff to avoid any head-scratching over your joke, then you do it again, and again ...  But come on, there are enough lousy drivers in the entertainment world to let you provide a variety.  Don't make me list a few suggestions, 'cause I'll do it.

Someone already mentioned it, but I hate it so much I feel it needs another mention...Numa-Numa guy jokes.  I watched Clash of the Titans with the riff tonight and heard that stupid joke yet again.  I know he's easily recognizable, but give it a rest PLEASE.

I think Kelsey is the most annoying celeb to get into a car crash without killing anybody.  A death kinda sucks the air out of the humor.  So remove all the ones who killed people, factor in how annoying the celeb is and then add a subclause about how big a name the person is ... and it spits out Kelsey. He fits everything the best.

IIRC, I seem to remember them using Haley Joel Osment once.  I know they've def mentioned Billy Joel a few times.  See, the real problem here is that there aren't enough celebrities getting in high profile accidents.  Besides, I think it's a fairly difficult joke to pull off since pretty much all their careers overshadow something as incidental as a car crash (now Tiger Woods on the other hand  ;)).

I know they've mentioned Shia LeBeuf a few times relating to accidents.

Bleeping is ok, but they need to bleep on syllables and leave dead air in.

For example, "G-dd--n motherf--ker" should be "God*bleep* mother*bleep*", not "*bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*"

Definitely agree with this. I wish they offered the option to download an uncensored version. Which makes me wonder, on those occasions where there's one long *bleep* while someone goes on a tirade (like in Return of the King), whether they actually bother saying anything, knowing that none of it will ever be used, or just sit there for a few seconds.

Anyway, getting back to the question; This has probably been addressed already, but I'm sick to death of Kansas City Royals jokes. I'd never even heard of them before Rifftrax. The only KCR joke I liked was the one Kevin did for Avatar. I remember when I heard the riff for Empire Strikes Back, Chad said "R2's lost a lot of money betting on the LA Clippers", the first thing I thought was "thank god he didn't say Kansas City Royals."

I should add though that I don't follow sports at all.

Haley Joel Osment was drunk driving only, I think.  Billy Joel was a motorcycle accident. Shia LeBeuf's career was a horrible accident....

I think they hang onto the Kelsey Grammer incident because of how spectacularly strange and stupid it was.  I mean, the man managed to get a Viper onto its roof in the limited space of his driveway (while high as a kite)!  It sounds like "movie physics" - something that shouldn't be possible - and yet it happened.

I might be alone in this but for some reason censor beeps are funnier to me than the actual cuss words.  I don't know why this is, but it's always been true for me.

Another one I'm sick of: short jokes, usually involving Tom Cruise or Al Pacino (although I do like Mike's Pacino impression). And just to be clear, I'm 6 foot 3, so it has nothing to do with finding them insulting. I just don't find them funny.

I do like the short jokes (particularly the Leprechaun ones in the Rl House on Haunted Hill), but I like it when they switch it up more. The Al Pacino reference is geting old (although the Pacino impression is funny), I like it better when they reference Dudley Moore, and I love that impression.

Have they done any Gary Oldman jokes? He was once a dwarf, you know.

That's wild, I barely remember any short jokes but I remember tons of fat jokes.  Maybe the short jokes just don't register.

Has the "it's over! oh no it isn't" every time there's a fade out been mentioned?  if so it hasn't been mentioned enough
