I think the only things I'm getting sick of are the "bleeped out" jokes. Where one of them goes on a swearing tirade that gets censored with a loud and rather obnoxious series of bleeps (that seem way louder than the rest of the audio). I wish they'd either just stick to jokes that don't need to be bleeped, or offer uncensored versions of the files for download.

I think the bleeping makes it funnier...they curse occasionally (Kevin calls something "horseshit" in Battlefield Earth, for example), but I just think bleeps are inherently funny

Bleeping is ok, but they need to bleep on syllables and leave dead air in.

For example, "G-dd--n motherf--ker" should be "God*bleep* mother*bleep*", not "*bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep*"

Amen.  And again, the bleep....like the music in the ID at the end...does not have to be SO MUCH LOUDER.

I'll third that.

Oh God yes.  I'll watch RT when I'm falling asleep, and there's nothing better than "I'm Mike Nelson, and this has been Rifftrax"  followed by GUITAR SOLO RIFFTRAX WE DON'T MAKE MOVIES WE MAKE FUN OF THEM followed by me being very fully awake all of a sudden

ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY! It's bad enough they changed the intro music from the good original to the painfully bad version they use now that is also WAY TOO LOUD.

Some people around here act like it's not possible to really love something and yet be a little irritated by it from time to time.  Get married and you'll see it's very possible.
Or have a kid.

Or a cat for that matter.

Or even a car,

Or get married....no, wait!...d'oh!

Agreed on all counts.

Agreed on all counts.

I don't care what music they use, but I agree they definitely need to make the intro and tag match the audio level that everyone speaks at during 98% of the remaining riff. I've gotten used to manually turning the volume up and down when my friends and I watch them, but we really shouldn't have to be doing that.

I guess one of the joys of re-authoring your own DVD's is that you can cut out the intro music and ending RiffTrax disclaimer.
However, I know exactly what you mean when you say the volume is too loud for both of these.

I'm sure another joy is being 50% smarter than the rest of us cuz when you dudes start talking that technical shit about reauthoring, my brain just kinda fades out and monkeys start playing volleyball up there.

Or just shut the thing off before it gets there....

However, shorts and VODs aren't re-authored...or shouldn't have to be....and the logo and sound come up so fast sometimes you can't get to the off button.  And some of use don't have the technical skill, the time, the software, the hard drive space.....

Well, you get the idea.

Just makes me wonder sometimes if the person there at Rifftrax who set the volume level on those originally is the great-grandkid of the douche bag person who decided TV commercials three to four times louder than the programs would endear them to the public?   ;)  That worked so well that people have been trying to pass laws against it in Congress for years now.  And in the digital age, it finally got through the House...

I didn't comb this entire thread, so forgive me if this was already covered:

Guys, Tom Arnold has left the stage.  Let him lie in peace*.  And Horatio Sanz does not justify ongoing torment.  I understand there are lots of new kiddies 'round these parts since the Twilight riffs - I have to imagine piling on these 90s (or even late 80s) fatsos has to be confusing to them, and it does nothing for us older kids anymore.

Please also note that there are _currently_ famous fat persons other than John Goodman, and those others are generally much more cretinous and scorn-worthy.

Ok, all done bitching about the funniest people working in media today.

Agreed. It would be more interesting to make the joke something different like an old, old reference, like to William Howard Taft (the fattest US President) or to Oliver Hardy (the fat one in Laurel and Hardy)
