I love the wikipedia page for the guys that make those movies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Friedberg_and_Aaron_Seltzer
Not one good thing to say.

What image do you think is on the monitor?

Schindler's List.

I mean, if these guys can so expertly fuck up comedy, I imagine they'd misinterpret a movie that serious as funny.

I think I'm going to go with Dr Strangelove.

A 9/11 documentary?

I'll back you up on that.

My dad paid $15 for a used copy of Epic movie on DvD and keeps telling me how good it is but he then told me I was ripped off when i paid $10 for my new Blu Ray copy of Blazing Saddles because "that movie isn't funny".

Wow. Someone needs a hug.

(could have done without the shower shot of his soaked up wang, though).

Please tell me you meant to write "soaped up"...?
Yes. It's a downward shower shot, and it's soaped up to try to hide it, but just makes it more obvious.
Good....because I was thinking, "Soaked up....water?" and would end up morbidly curious about seeing....
Don't watch it for that, good God... Watch it for Leguizamo, if you like him when he's playing goofy and manic. The Pest is a Leguizamo vehicle like Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a Mathew Broderick vehicle. Take that for what you will.
Well, I'm one of those weirdos who likes Spawn partially for him......
Spawn is where I became a big fan of Leguizamo's and yes, he is the best part of that movie. It's not the cinematic abomination some people make it out to be. It has it's fun aspects, but overall not too good. It also takes itself pretty serious, which would make it an excellent iRiff target (Rifftrax probably wouldn't riff it due to it's relative obscurity).

Yeah, I don't get the hate for the Spawn movie either. It's absolutely not one bit worse than the comic it's based on.

Well his idea of funny is a nude man or woman dropping the f bomb fifty times in a row for no reason followed by a bunch of bad sex jokes.

I don't get it either.

Speaking of bad comedies. I wonder if anyone ever laughed at Yahoo Serious or Drop Dead Fred.

Come on...Rik Mayall is funny no matter what.

And for a movie people "hates" there's a lot of people who have posted bits about it on YouTube!

EDIT:  And someone is remaking it for 2011...

Drop Dead Fred has a pretty big fanbase due to Rik Mayall fans. I don't even like the movie, but as a Mayall fan I can't see anyone else as Fred except him.

Is it just me or are bad comedies even worse than other types of bad cinema? I can watch a bad horror movie, sci-fi or drama any day. However, I find it very difficult to get through bad comedies.  They are often the movies I think of when I think of the worst movies I've ever seen. .

Bad Sci-fi, bad horror, bad drama, etc. all become comedies. Bad comedies just become painful.

Russell Brand.  He's also scheduled to remake the Dudley Moore film Arthur

Whatever you think of his comedy (and he knows how to play a drunk, for certain) but I don't see him handling the dramatic bits of either part.

Which, btw, is why Mayall was so good as Fred...it did need some tenderness in the role.

i would be shocked if you could find a comedy that no one will laugh at.

Corky Romano?
I watched it and was surprised to find I still laughed at parts.

There's one thing for sure, it's not one of their movies. Then again, these guys are so inept at writing they would probably even laugh at sudden gusts of wind.
