Well the Email quoted in the first post says:

If you have already purchased Planet of Dinosaurs, we will issue you a gift certificate for 19.95.

So wouldn't that be the answer?

Yeah perhaps that was somewhat vague. I have to reconvene but I think Conor was right - if you also purchased the VOD after the fact, we'll give you another certificate in the amount of the purchase price so you can go buy something else with it, since you'll be getting it for free now.

But I think that might be the case if, and only if, you also bought tickets to the live event. I think if you "only" bought the VOD then it may not apply to you.

I'll try to get some more details this morning.

Well right, if you only bought the VOD you are not getting a refund, because you did not miss the live show.  You will just have to redownload the VOD when we update them, hopefully this afternoon.

By the way, if you want a refund, send your name and email address to support@rifftrax.com. I'll be sending out another email to point out this fact. (Our last email came from noreply, which is unmonitored.)

When you say VOD, does that include the download to burn?  I

VOD is $9.99 & it is a video file (that you can put onto dvd), Download to Burn is $11.99 & that is an ISO file (DVD image) that is ready to burn to dvd with something like Imgburn.

Uhhh, knew that already.  I'm just wondering if the download to burn will be ready the same time as the VOD.  And if not, can I get 2 dollars back and change my order to a VOD

That's weird.  Why is an ISO more expensive then and MPEG?

Maybe the ISO comes with menus (or maybe not).

So, any idea when we're going to get the gift certificates?

thecrazyd

Any word on when exactly this will be released?

If it takes as long to render that it takes when they are doing ICWXP's movies, it'll be a few weeks.

Mainly because it's a lot of extra time, and it's a bigger file. The extra charge helps us pay the extra amount of time it takes to create the ISO and the bandwidth it takes for you to download it. (Plus storage on the server). Hopefully the slight difference in price isn't a deal-breaker to those of you who want it.

Also, the VOD files are now redone. (Everything minus the Windows Media File, which had to be done twice, and is still finishing its upload).

We are in the process of uploading the DVD files now as well. Not sure when that will complete, but the latest we can have those files available again will be first thing tomorrow morning (Pacific Time). We'll let everyone know when the new files have been made available, and then we'll make the product live for purchase again.

Gizmo the Great

So, if I bought the VOD, I can now go to my files and re-download?
