Speaking of zombie movies, here's the trailer for Romero's new one, officially called "...of the Dead":

Meh.

Doctor Who?

Ok sorry i have been reading EGM since I was 11 so any time i see something with the date April first in it I assume it's a joke.

Pak-Man

I hate to necrobump this, but whatever happened to this? Did I miss the chance to see it in 3D in theatres? Will there still be a 3D DVD?

Conor

This wasn't really something we were involved in, I'm sure if it wasn't out by now it probably isn't coming.

I can't imagine there being much of a market for it tbh, at least in theater form.

Now... as a DVD in colorcode 3d there could be a market but personally I'd rather the 2d-3d conversion was done with a different movie.

Colorcode 3d is the super bowl glasses. Unfortunately there is a license to use them since the color filters are patented, however they are definitely the best in-home solution.

There's actually a technology that we have here in the office that is way superior.  I'm not sure what it's called, but it is a capability that more and more tvs are being built with.  There is a TV set that we use to run demos on that we have seen tons of 3D footage with this system and it looks great.  Comparitively, we watched Mike's copy of Jonas Brothers 3D the other day with the colored glasses, and it wasn't even in the same ballpark.

Unfortunately since you can distribute the glasses with the DVD regardless of whether people have a special TV feature make it a much easier 3D method to utilize.

I'm not sure which method the NOTLD was supposed to use, but like I said before, it was someone elses project, I'm not really sure what happened to it.

Wait . . . . . So Mike has his own personal as in personally owned copy of Jonas Brothers 3D?

I'm waiting for a punchline here.

This is one evidence that the Jonas Brothers really have reached the levels of the elderly.

No DVD movies released use colorcode 3d that I am aware of. I use colorcode 3d to play games in 3d and it is quite superior with minimal flaws. Shutterglasses on a 120 Hz refresh DLP tv or computer monitor is what you are referring to and unfortunately I think is farther out than a standardized anaglyth solution. Colorcode 3d with post processing done to minimize the ghosting from the green layer into the blue layer is near perfect 3d without any special equipment other than a clear reception, which you get from a DVD. The only flaw is some eye strain because one eye is darker than the other and that is minimized by watching it in a dark room.

Here's my thread about playing games in 3d for cheap:

I don't know anything about 3-D technology, but after I watched the new 3-D version of Friday the 13th Part III one of my eyes saw everything with a red tint for such a long period after I had taken the glasses off that I began to freak out a little. Hours.
I was happy to finally see it in 3-D, but not, y'know, at the expense of my eyesight!

He had to "review" it for a magazine he writes for.

And yeah this 3D of NOTLD would not have been the red and blue glasses, Wesley. It'd probably be polarized for the theater.

Holy crap did 120 Hz LCD TVs just pop up overnight now? The average person will have a 3d capable TV in no time...
