Haven't seen it all...but I've seen enough (and the Marketplace makes it under $5).

Too bad Toomorrow isn't on DVD (legally).

I desperately wanted some of Andy Warhol's movies to be under $5, but alas, "art" films seem to be more expensive.

EDIT:

It's funny you've started this thread Doc, because about a week ago, I added a whole load (about 150) of b-action movies to my rental list.  It's going to be JCVD/Dolph Lundgren/Stephen Seagal for the next few months...

THe best "authority" I have ever read on really bad direct to video movie and obscure crap is The Foywonder on Dread Central. Whenever he has a podcast I always end up adding all kinds of movies to my netflix cue. My favorite quote from him regarding Uwe Boll: After seeing Ulli Lommel movies, I realize that Uwe Boll is not the worst director in the world. He's not even the worst German director. He's not even the worst German director who's first name starts with a U."

No no no.  Avoid the Killjoy movies.  They're hopelessly inept, dull, and insipid.  Besides, they're direct to video/DVD, so they don't really count anyway.  There are far, far too many terrible movies that go direct to DVD, many of which will remain unseen by even the most masochistic, so I'd suggest focusing on movies that we all can commiserate with you on.  My list of absolute essentials is as follows:

A*P*E* - In an effort to cash in on the hype surrounding the 1976 King Kong, director Paul Leder (father of Deep Impact director Mimi Leder) hashed out this man-in-a-monkey suit extravaganza that has a giant ape attacking South Korea.  The effects are hilarious.  Highlights include a constantly shifting scale ratio, a scene where the A*P*E* (not sure why asterisks -- never explained) fights a shark, and a completely "what were they thinking?" moment when the A*P*E* gives the finger to a crashing helicopter.

Revenge of the Ninja - As a budding connoisseur of awful films, you must acquaint yourself with the producing/directing team of Golan/Globus.  Their former company, Cannon, is responsible for some of the most delightful cinematic limburger in history (perhaps you'll remember Superman III and IV?).  Unfortunately, the first in their ninja "trilogy," Enter the Ninja, is currently unavailable, but Revenge of the Ninja is easily acquired, and will provide you with unreal 80's ninja wackiness.  Don't worry, there is no continuity in the ninja series, so you won't be lost.  Highlights include an endless parade of goofy "ninja" weapons (spiked ball bearings fired from the mouth, and things of that ilk), a ten year old kid fighting a buxom blond, and some of the most hilarious henchmen ever to don mullets.  Not to be missed!

Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 - It's difficult to keep this list at three, but it would be a crime to leave this one out.  In fact, I'm rather surprised no one else has mentioned it.  The first Silent Night, Deadly Night tells the story of a teenager suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder who snaps after years of abuse, dresses as Santa, and goes on a killing spree.  Aside from its obvious ploy to shock the public by turning an icon of goodwill and joy into an axe wielding lunatic, the movie does have its poignant moments, and we cannot help but sympathize with the poor anti-hero.  That isn't to say that it isn't funny -- it is, particularly the killer's tendency to bellow "Punish!" as he's about to dispatch a victim.  But SNDN 2 just takes everything to 11, so to speak.  The film documents the adventures of Ricky, the brother of the killer in the first movie, who spends the first half of the film telling his life story to a psych ward doctor.  The blatant thievery here is remarkable -- minutes and minutes of scenes are lifted wholesale from part 1, many of which Ricky's character hadn't even been present for.  Anyway, as Ricky continues on telling his story, we're treated to some of the...I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH...sidesplitting vignettes yet committed to celluloid.  To add anything else would spoil the surprise -- suffice it to say that you must see this film.

I hope you find my suggestions helpful.  I've got plenty more where these came from.

All my best,
Joseph

Like I said, if you can't make a better movie than A Taste of Blood, don't even bother to comment on it.

Please explain this, as it sounds really rather ridiculous.

A Taste of Blood was a competently-made, entertaining, distinctive and original low-budget movie, as opposed to all of the crap that has been posted in this thread.

How bout Twilight?

With the sparkly vampires and 2D characters, surely that must be a good film that involves tasting blood............. The Taste of Blood is about vampires, right?
