My only hope is that if they're gonna bring  back the Joker, that they at least partner him up with a super hot actress to portray Harley Quinn.... *Keeps fingers crossed*

I know I'm gonna sound super pretentious, but the funny thing about this pic is it's from the best Conrad Veidt movie eeever -
The Man Who Laughs and Kane used him as a model for the Joker.

Wow.  That looks one half Edward Scissorhands, one half Ichi the Killer.  It's a very well-done fake.

Also, Brokeback Gotham?  That's pretty awesome.

Hah I think it's funny how the revamp makes it look more like Whiteface the Joker-a-like from the Nighthawk Batman-a-like Series.

I'm trying very hard to understand what this means.

He looks like the Character Whiteface with the scars, from the Nighthawk series.

Other fakes....

Now THAT is cool. I wish they'd done it that way.

I'm really not a big fan of the new joker design. I'm also not a big fan of Heath Ledger being cast as the joker, but we'll just have to see how it turns out on film...
I am Ambassador Phantom, from the planet Krankor! I am rapidly approaching your planet... in the warship, which you have just seen. I will arrive tomorrow night at precisely eight o'clock. At that time I shall make my wishes known to you. You will obey them... or die! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

I think its better than what was in the Tim Burton films.  I mean ill give credit to Jack Nickelson for doing a good job and everything, but from the real picture this seems like more of a reality. I think that is partly what i liked about batman begins, it seemed a lot more plausable than the other films. but that is just me, i dont know if everyone feels that way

I really hope Harley Quinn is in it.  She was always more insane than the Joker because she would kill anyone for the Joker, whereas the Joker just wanted Batman.

Oooh so excited about this.  If they are basically filming Dark Knight Returns - we'll all be having nightmares.

I've read that they are taking lots of inspiration from "Killing Joke" and "The Long Halloween" as well DKR. So yeah... it's going to be sick as hell!

And by the way it looks like that photo from the website is, indeed, LEGIT. No confirmation from WB yet but according to batman-on-film, some people did detective work and found out the same company who did the "ilovebees" campaign for Halo 2, among other things, did the "I love harvey dent too" stuff. Awesome!

Johnny Unusual

I don't like it.  I'm sure it will be a good movie but I don't know if I'll like it if he's like that through the whole movie.  It looks like a bad death metal cover to me.

My favourite Joker: Mark Hamill.

You beat me to it.

Look at it this way, he can't be worse than Jack Nicholson.  I think it's an odd choice but Nolan hasn't made a bad movie yet, I trust him.

As much as I enjoyed Batman Begins (and I enjoyed the HELL out of it), keep in mind that almost all of the "inspiration" it drew from classic comics stories consisted of name-dropping. I'm not saying it's good or bad, but the little "squee" I felt when names like Flass and Commissioner Loeb were mentioned was quickly replaced with the understanding that the movie characters bore virtually no resemblance to their comics counterparts. It's kind of like the whole "Gwen Stacy" thing in Spider-Man 3; why bother having that character even be Gwen Stacy, when nothing about her place in the movie's story requires it?
