Thrashalla

Gravity
Feature film · 2016

George Clooney lets go way too early, leaving Sandra Bullock alone with nothing but the keys to a Chinese space ship—and it's a stick shift.

With Mary Jo Pehl, Bridget Nelson

Don't Let Go!

But the thing is - Commander Matt Kowalski (George Clooney), helming his last mission before retirement, does let go! And much much too early as far as Bridget and Mary Jo are concerned. It sorta seems like he wanted to die. Anyway, the point is he leaves Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) on her own with nothing but the keys to a Chinese space ship. And guess what? It's a stick shift! Kooky chaos ensues!

Join Bridget and Mary Jo as they riff their very first Hollywood blockbuster!

Very curious to hear what people think about this one. It doesn't strike me as good riffing material at all.
FINE

I disagree. I haven't watched it yet but I think this movie is ideal riffing material.

Well, let me know what you think when you watch it, but to me, a movie that is mostly one character, little dialogue and few scene changes doesn't lend itself well to riffing.

Then you haven't seen the Cinester Theater riff of March of the Penguins, which was brilliant!

I haven't, but motp has penguins, which are pretty silly to begin with, and constant narration, yeah? This is a target that makes some sense to me.
