Until the dedicated subforum is started.  I just got back from the show, first time seeing Miami Connection, and well.... I have a lot of questions on the events of this movie.

But the show is fantastic! Lots of great laughs during a very baffling movie.  And loved that the rock-group foundation/soundtrack gave Kevin plenty of chances to sing for us!

Fun evening and, wow, a baffling short too.  When one of them mentioned the "sparkly thing" on Measuring Man's belt I lost it because, well, it looked a lot like what they implied!

Fantastic night, guys! Can't wait to have the VOD of this!

I, too, think it one of their best. More movies like this and less Sharknados and Anacondidos!

Awesome show! I'm ecstatic to see this movie finally riffed! And the short was awesome. Probably my favorite live show yet.

On a down note, the crowd at our theater was much smaller than usual for some reason. Did anyone else experience that? I hope it was just us.

ShadowDog

Yeah the theater in Knoxville was maybe a 3rd full. I haven't been to live show in a while so I was used to full houses.

Great show though. I prefer blockbuster riffs but I gotta admit this was one damned funny riff.

Much much better than Sharknado 2. This was one of the better ones they've done.

It was also nice to see Bill be the only one to not flub a line, unlike what usually happens.
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

That I noticed that too. Kevin and Mike had clunkers.

Anyone else notice that Y K Kim looks like ET, except shorter?

I think I laughed more consistently during this than any live show since Plan 9.  Glad they were in Nashville so the sound was clear.

Yes, the crowd was half (or less) than what I expected.  Maybe the movie itself has zero draw due to being completely unknown?  I had only heard of it through Redlettermedia, and even then I had it confused with Hard Ticket to Hawaii (kept expecting to see the blowup doll/rocket launcher scene).

ShadowDog

Yeah I was in Tenn on business so had nothing to do last night so I searched local events and this came up and I was like "Word?" I'd heard nothing about it. Really glad I found out in time because it was awesome.

Maybe the new-ness has worn off? 3 years ago I'd have damn sure known about this weeks in advance. I wonder if that's a reason for the smaller crowds?

It was also good to see they must have fixed the air conditioning there, because they weren't profusely sweating. I was genuinely concerned for them last time.

I would have loved to go to this one, but for me it's just the combination of cost (with the economy so bad) and the hour-later-than-normal start time PST on a weekday (I get up for work at 430 am).  Those two things may also explain the lower attendance...I know everyone doesn't get up so early but you're looking at a home-in-bed time of 1030 or 11 which is late for some people.  I know they can't do anything about the theaters charging 50% to double normal admission price, but why can't they do it on a Friday or Saturday night for once?  At least do it at the normal 7pm start PST...

Oh...but where I can't always pay 12-15 bucks for a late-night ticket, I'd love to own the downloadable Rifftrax Live version of this...

Well, that and it's October.

True. But it's a theater packed with people and hot lights on them. Without air conditioning, I expected the camera to cut back to them and Bill would just be a puddle.

I haven't been to a full house since Manos, but there are several theaters in my area that have been carrying the live shows

losingmydignity

For some reason my theater was fuller than any show in a while.
