Yes, Scott's revelation that you, Darth Geek, were excited about "Van Helsing", has me scared, too. That movie didn't even look good on paper, let alone actually watching it, which I couldn't do for more than 3 or 4 minutes at a time.

No, Actually I don't even care either way, I just like to talk to fan-boys. I really do not have a care if FF is any good... Never liked the comic. It was my dead friend Dan who was the FF fan. I was hoping it would be good in tribute to him, as he only got to see the first ones and he hated them. As all people of good faith did. But, he liked the RIfftrax, as all good people of faith did.

I just read that back to myself, and I typed, "I just like to talk to fan-boys..." that makes me sound like the creepy, old molester uncle. "Hey, fan-boy wanna Spiderman comic...?"

Even though I am old, and creepy, I am also a fan-boy, ok? I mean, we are all fan-boys, right? You guys know that when I say, "I like to talk to fan-boys..." it means I like talking to my peers, right?

I mean, I'm creepy, but I'm not THAT creepy... right?

To be fair, we haven't really seen much of anything yet. And there is also the changes they are making to Doom. A hacker or something, I think. I'm still holding any enthusiasm in check for this.

It's better than the first trailer. And I certainly like it better than the B v S trailer. But this still feels rather...generic and dark.
The Thing certainly looks great. And really shows why this character lends itself more to CGI than practical effects.
And of all the things to rip off, why the helicopter drop from Incredible Hulk? Yeah, I love that movie, but I was under the impression most people didn't. Oh well, it's just an odd nod is all.

In general, they aren't my favourite films...but they don't make my eyes roll the way the reboots do.
