I just finished watching...this bit from the ending of The Incredible Melting Man, possibly the grossest MST3K moment ever:

"If I could just fart, I would feel so much better."

And best special effect in an MST3K movie.

Probably not a coincidence that it's (probably) the only MST3K movie that Rick Baker worked on (also, I read something saying that the director enjoyed it being on MST3K since he had originally intended it to be more of a comedy/spoof).

I am watching this one again, and I just noticed something. Doesn't it sound like the voice of Satan in the Hell scene is done by the same guy that plays Santa? I know this is dubbed and all, but you'd think they wouldn't have them sound essentially identical.

I've seen the Mitchell episode a zillion times and I STILL have no ide what the hell is going on in the scene at the golf course where he shoots that guy.

Edit: So has anybody here seen the unedited version of Mitchell? I have heard there is a dune buggy chase scene where John Saxon's character is killed. But is there part of the golf course scene that explains why he shot that guy?

John Saxon is killed by Ator.

I'm watching Space Travelers for the first time right now. Oh my God is this movie BORING! For fuck sake, Starfighters looks like Terminator 2 compared to this!

You know there might be a reason Satan and Santa are anagrams

That would certainly bring up very serious ontological and religious ramifications. I wonder what Merlin has to say about this?
"Da ta da ta da ta da ta da."
Shut up Merlin.

Hackman is good in anything.
I've got to go see a lucky young widow..
Roger, Corman.
Yes, an insanely boring movie, but wonderful riffing and host segments.

The riffing was okay, but it couldn't save the movie. But at least the acting was good from everybody, so that at least helps a little.

I thought Gene Hackman was kind of cheesy, in that movie.  That's why I like it when one of the guys says, "Hackman is good in anything."  It's foreshadowing.

I do agree that nothing could save that movie.  It was probably already dead before it arrived at Best Brains.  8)

The funniest part to me is the fact that ever since I was a kid I was obsessed about space and NASA. I bugged my parents for years to send me to Space Camp, which I did eventually get to go to. I was huge into model rocketry and reading about NASA missions. But even after all of that, this movie bored me to tears watching it now. And I definitely would have hated even back in my NASA obsessed youth.
