What did we learn?

I learned that Lash LaRue and that fat guy must have had an Andy Kaufman/Ton Clifton sort-of contract since we've now had two movies with LaRue in it which also had the fat guy in it.

I learned that there must be an alternate cut of this movie where the hirsute guy in the motel got out of bed and walked around because as he shuffled about in the sheets we got a momentary glance at him apparently wearing a banana hammock.

The actor who played the fisherman must have had really injured his ankle at some point considering he was walking with a pretty good limp after the encounter in the river and it's pretty rare for a movie to have this much continuity to an injury.

I learned that, if you are anywhere in the country, you will be surrounded at all times by ceaseless cow mooing.

I learned that this movie was a momentous event.
Oh bite me, it's fun!

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell I just WATCHED, let alone recap the things I learned from it.
I used to have an image here, but Photobucket got cheap about remote linking. I guess I'll have to think of something witty instead. Which I will. Later. It caught me by surprise, in all honesty. It's hard to be clever on command, I mean, YOU try it. Be funny: NOW! See, tough. So, gimme a bit, 'kay?

I saw a relatively attractive woman wearing now pants with a lot of straps and belts clinging to her thighs.  There was that.

I learned that two men who're presumably friends will go on vacation together without first discussing the outlines on what their activities will be while vacationing.

I learned that wanting to fish peacefully while standing in ankle-deep water isn't "vacationing" while standing around like a male-stripper in boxers and kicky little cowboy boots while shouting and firing a gun is.

I learned Lash LaRue can get top billing, even in a movie where he does absolutely nothing.

I learned you can totally catch fish in a 6 inch deep creek that clearly has no fish. Maybe they're invisible, like the cows, sheep and typewriters.

Apparently there's a market for baby blue colored Mustangs.

I learned that someone murdered our beloved Gypsy! Noooooooooo! :speechless:

I learned Southern filmmakers are the most self-hating people on the planet because holy shit as a Yankee I couldn't come close to managing the pure hatred this film showed towards its fellow Southerners.

Ugh. There are very few things that completely nullify my attraction to a sexy looking woman more than a thick southern accent.
Granted I already knew that, but still...

I learned it is entirely unnecessary to hire an actress with boobs for a character that is going to be flaunted as sexy. I think the same casting agent hired her, the thin blonde woman in Devil Fish, and Milla Jovovich in Fifth Element.

I learned how Bill dresses to hand out Halloween candy.  :gouge:

I learned that I should not have called the hotel luggage scene the worst padding I have ever seen. Because then the fishing scene happened!

Speaking of that scene, I learned that this movie doesn't realize that it's not a quick draw contest when the alien already has his gun aimed at him!

Also, aliens that are use guns won't actually bring any guns with them, they just trust that they will find weapons there right away. I wonder if this alien plays videogames?

I dunno, Darth Geek she may not have had too much on-top but I found the actress fairly attractive.  Though her voice/accent was a bit grating.

I learned that some people aren't too bothered by it when they get raped by a doorknob.

I learned I'd give anything to Lash LaRue and Sylvester Stallone do a movie or a comic-bit together. Something like
Who's on First?" I think something like that would be epic.

I couldn't care less about her accent or bust size. But I am an absolute sucker for women with really long hair.

Also, the aliens saw the sign for the Blue Ridge Parkway and thought "We can out hillbilly that". Seriously, I live in Virginia. The Appalachian Mountains are hillbilly central. Where do you think the "hill" part of that word comes from. My mom had cousins from Appalachia who still used outhouses.

She's from Minnesota. :speechless:

Seriously.  Near Minneapolis.   She says so in the "behind the scenes" thread.

Yeah, I'm not so huge on breast size either. I'm more an ass man. And most people who know me will back that up, they're always like "Nate, you are such an ass, man."
