They achieved their goal on the Twilight riff within a few hours, IIRC.  And, yeah, looks like this one will basically do the same.  Be interesting to see how high this goes.

Without crazy stretch goals to drive it, I doubt it will do multiples of the base goal.

People said that last time and they did...

Wow you are right, I totally mis-recalled how much they made last time, but the goal was lower too.

They should hit their goal by the end of the day Tuesday, as of 5:30a CDT they're at $87.5K, only $13K to go.

Now, sure, without stretch goals or additional rewards or anything it may be hard for them to get as high as they did last time (~$250K) but I think their announcement came earlier in the day last time, like in the afternoon and this one didn't hit until early/mid-evening. So their could be another surge at some point as people learn about this KS event.

But it's probably safe to say they're going to at least get their $100K and some gravy too between now and the end of the run.

I pledged $15.  That's all I can afford right now, but I'm deliriously happy that they're riffing the one movie I've been begging them FOR YEARS to take on!

Kickstarter question (since I've never done this before):  When you make a pledge, are you set in that amount?  Or can you make a larger pledge later?  I want to try for the Godzilla MP3 and get the movie on my birthday.   ;D

I'd like to think that Mathew Broderick has donated to this.

I wonder if he will be supportive of this on Twitter like the stars of Starship Troopers were?

You can change the pledge up until the moment the money's taken out of your account (in this case, June 11 at 7:16 PM EST). After that, you're locked in.

Thank you!  I'm going to try for the MP3 download, but if I can't, I'm be glad for the shorts and wait for the regular MP3 release.   ;D

Here's my "official" fan poster for the Godzilla show. I'm very into RiffTrax fan art, you see. :)

It's gonna be close, but it looks like it's going to just make it to 250K.

I sure hope so. I've already donated way more than I originally intended. Not a complaint, I just want to do my part :)

Anaconda is a really good choice for them to riff. But it's not a title that will draw in the general public, like Godzilla would.

It's good for a fun fall show, methinks. :)
