I've seen that one at conventions. I should get it too. I really hope they make a Bat Gremlin next.

I got a bit obsessed with wanting to build a better Wright Flyer model, after comparing pictures of the real thing to what I built before.
So, got another kit and got better string, did some modifications, and spent a few hours a day for the last 2 weeks building the thing.
The silver string was a pain in the ass to work with, so I think I've got the model building bug out of my system now...

Well, I guess I still have a bit of a modeling bug left, just ordered these 2 kits:

It's been bugging me I don't have a nice model of the Enterprise, this thing is kind of big, and expensive, and after looking at some YouTube videos of people building the kits I realized I'm not going to make it as perfect as those.
But it should be interesting to build.

Thanks, I'm already thinking of mods to the kit, that site might come in handy.

I want to be able to turn on the bussard collector LEDs without running the noisy motors, so that will have to be rewired.  Also might want to leave the lights on a lot, and wouldn't want to wear out the little motors.

Also want to have a different switch mechanism for the impulse engine lights.

I also want to hang the model from the ceiling so those 2 mods would be best if I could find a couple remote control switches.

And lastly the saucer section, I don't like that they molded those groves for the hull plates, if this is supposed to be a TOS model those groves were not there in the wooden prop used for the show...  But filling them would require some serious painting afterwards, wasn't planning on painting the parts that are supposed to be white....
