Yeah I'm buying the Star Wars Holiday Special now as well cause there may be issues with copyrights in the future

I think the only explanation that they got the rights to the Holiday Special. Is because Disney now owns Star Wars. I mean wasn't Lucas the Guy who would rather burn in hell than ever distribute the "Holiday Special" commercially.

Yeah that was Lucas, but now that Disney has control, they might take copyright control of the Star Wars Holiday Special in time anyway

I would be really interesting for Disney to put out a pristine DVD and BluRay. Think of all the interesting behind the scenes making-of stories they could have special features on.

Anyone compare the video quality to the google video?  Is it better?  I had no sync issues with the old video but it does look like old worn out VHS...

I watched it last night.. Same quality IMO
