From the new set, Village of the Giants and The Deadly Mantis.  While I've seen Deadly Mantis before, Village of the Giants I hadn't, and I add it into my growing pile of "Why was there ever a time I was not a fan of Mike?"-episodes that I should've really watched a long time ago (I, too, as a child, fell victim to the 'I don't know about this new host' before I snapped out of my idiocy).

Favorite lines:
Deadly Mantis: But I've got a Mantis in my Pantis!
The half-frozen remains of Frosty the Snowman, the victim of a vicious pistol whipping.
Village of the Giants: The ravages of Osgood-Schlatter's Disease! (Something about the obscurity plus Beau's face in this scene are just too much.)

I too was an idiot.  For several years.  Stopped watching MST on Comedy Central because I didn't like him.  Wish I could go back in time and give myself a sharp slap.

Thank goodness I rediscovered the show in 2002 in reruns.

I remember when I stopped watching The Daily Show because Jon Stewart took over for Craig Kilborn.  That didn't last long.

I took to watching both Craig Kilborn's late night show and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.  I think I gave up on Kilborn after 3 weeks and although I don't watch The Daily Show religiously, I watch at least 1 episode every week or two.

I'm in the middle of Alien from LA and holy shit. KATHY IRELAND'S VOICE YOU GUYS. Did people learn nothing from Singin' in the Rain??!

I too was stunned when I watched that and heard her squeak away.
I thought - dear god, I am glad I did not know this while I was fantasizing over SI swimsuit photos!

The Lurker

That's not actually her real voice.

Few times have I wanted to slap someone through the screen as much as I wanted to slap Kathy Ireland.

Raven

Yeah, that isn't what she sounds like at all.  I'd seen her in Necessary Roughness and there was absolutely nothing grating about her in that one.

A multi-repeat viewing of The Magic Voyage of Sinbad.

"He's not Sinbad...."

Watched the rest of Rocket Attack USA last night. Between the dull as hell movie, and yet another Commando Cody serial,  this episode is pretty painful.

Hobgoblins

This is full of gems.  The skit about accidental turn ons is one of my faves.  And the riffing is spot on.

Have also seen it unriffed.  Some unriffed movies can be good.  The Magic Sword comes to mind.  On the bearable front there are many of those.

This one hurt me like hell.  Just unbearable without Mike and the bots.

Three(?) years ago for my birthday my girlfriend bought me, from ebay, Hobgoblins 1 & 2 on dvd, and a copy of the soundtrack on cd.  Signed by Rick Sloane.  And apparently, purchased directly from Rick Sloane through ebay.

I still haven't forgiven her.

I wouldn't mind having the soundtrack.  Like that 80s punk.

Oh yeah, we still sing Fish Picker (Pig Liquor?) all the time.

I've been indoctrinating my significant other into the cult of MST3k and RiffTrax. Considering MST3k is older than he is, he's coming along nicely. We binge-watched  allll weekend- now he keeps yelling out, "ROWSDOWER" and, "watch out for snakes!" at random moments. Just finished watching (and laughing uncontrollably at) the Poopie reel included with the Manos dvd...I wonder how many wonderful outtakes we'll never get to see...
