Between Star Wars 7, Avengers 2, and Justice League, 2015 is gonna have a heck of a nerdy summer.

Dude, look around you.  It's been nerdy summers for the past 10 years.

I don't give a shit about Star Wars, but Disney have done well in the past few years with producing the best from fallen properties.  Who knows?

Just to be geeky for the sake of being geeky, here's what I want.

Disney presents Star Wars Episode VII, written by Joss Whedon, directed by Brad Bird.
Half of that ran through my head when I read the story; and then I wondered why Disney doesn't just buy the rights to Firefly.

Doggans brought up on FB & Twitter that the Muppets episode with the cast of Star Wars can finally come out on DVD now!

I wonder if that's what was holding up Season 4 & 5 so long.

I think Disney's TV to DVD department has a fear of completion. Ducktales, The Tick, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, Talespin...

EDIT TO ADD: Hmm. I wonder if, for similar reasons, they can finally release the Mole People and Omnipotus episodes of The Tick now...

"Oh sorry those are in the other vault"  ::)

This is probably not going to be good, but we're all going to see it anyway.  Including me.  Such is the way of things.

I wonder if any of the actors from the original trilogy will return to reprise their roles.  I kinda doubt Harrison Ford will be up for it.

Also, I really hope Kyle Katarn is in it. (SPOILER ALERT: He won't be).
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

And I can't believe no one in this thread has said "I have a bad feeling about this" yet.

For shame.

I'm highly optimistic.  They already have a huge list of things they shouldn't do, and they can bring in great writers and directors.  Different imaginings and interpretations!?

I'm sure that not everything will be great, but the chance that something good could happen makes me very excited.

Look how happy George is:

Does this mean Disney now owns The Star Wars Holiday Special?

That's alright, my writing partner already has a campaign going for another of the roles:
