Got the re-release of the first four seasons of Futurama (with the awesome new covers) for $15 each. At the checkout they gave me at $10 gift card. Pretty sweet deal.

Where? I bought 1 and 4, but Amazon didn't have the other two on sale.
Best Buy. Looked like they were on sale for $15, regular price seemed to be $20.

MartyS (Gromit)

Got all 4 seasons of Sanctuary on Blu-Ray.  It was about half way through season 2 that I dropped down to basic cable so haven't seen it since then.  Now that SyFy has dropped it I figured I'd better pick it up before it goes out of print, season 3 seems to be in short supply, took an extra week for Amazon to get hold of one.

Futurama re-releases? Are there new special features, or just more compact boxes that match the newer sets?

Disc content is identical (even down to the annoying menus on the first couple of seasons). Disc and box art is new and improved.
But are the boxes those aweful "earth friendly" cardboard sleeves that scratch up the disks?

I didn't mind the old Futurama packaging but the new ones are better.

Anyways, Deep Discount has a "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" Blu-Ray sale when you type in the code "blu2" so I decided to get most of the Rifftrax Blu-Rays (they're about $11-$12 each over there).

Now I just need Plan 9.

I also got this new release (with its crappy cover art) on Deep Discount.

And I bought a VHS! It's a Marilyn Manson video that was never released on DVD so it's rare.

Woh! That is badass! In fact, almost too badass for that goofy movie. It doesn't really fit the tone.

Starman!

That's why I don't like the cover art, it doesn't fit the theme of the movie.

I may not have been updating my Doctor Who thread lately, but I've been really enjoying the Jon Pertwee era... Katy Manning...*sigh*  So I've bought...

I saw the picture already.   :)

Killer Klowns on Blu Ray.

Damn it, now I have to buy a Blu Ray player.  Guess I've put it off long enough.

That movie is your Blu-Ray selling point? Interesting. Different strokes for different folks. (Ironically, Grindhouse was the movie that made me want a BD player since it's not on DVD and that movie looks intentionally bad.)

I've actually wanted one since Star Wars came out.

I actually put off buying a DVD player for years too.  Got one when all the MST movies stoppped coming out on video.
