What futuristic things did we learn?

I learned that CRT monitors will come back into style... IN THE FUTURE!!!

I also learned that in rather tame strip clubs men mostly sit around and watch the news.

I learned that love means "I won't shoot you to death...this time."

I learned that in the future, LA will consist of about three blocks that people will drive around in circles within even when being chased by armed attackers.  (I swear they drove by the same building five times in one chase scene.)

Yeah I noticed that they really only had a one block location!

I learned I need to keep an eye out for MASSIVE CLIFFS when driving through a city.

Oh yeah, they are all over the place in Houston.....you just never know when the will appear and change depth.

Mega Lenin

I learned that happy burger isn't as pleasant as it sounds, that David Carradine would star in your film for a carton of smokes and whiskey money, that denim is the new leather in the future, that you shouldn't fuck with the clergy because they'll end up shooting you down in the end, and that leggy brunettes always fall for greasy homeless fatbodies and so do bald mr. clean adjacent goons.

Darth Geek

I learned that the Master from Manos apparently is a sponsor for futuristic cops.

You can be held completely captive even if you are tied in one place to a seat cushion that is clearly not attached to anything.

When your entire police force consists of people less trustworthy than the Hell's Angels, they will keep thousands of dollars in cash in desk drawers.

Vicious crime bosses will let their hired thugs call them by their first name. Makes for a more informal atmosphere.

Orders cannot be revoked.

A mastermind vicious crime boss head of a legal corporation will send two hired goons to capture and kill someone that is already been captured and about to be taken to be killed by another of his own hired goons.

In the FUTURE with laser gloves and other high-tech weaponry, quick-draws with revolvers are still popular.

A guy who kills indiscriminantly will sometimes deliberately let clearly dangerous people live.

It is entirely uneccessary to even speed up the film during a carchase.

Squeeling tire noises can be funny not just because they are on surfaces that don't make that noise, but also because the cars are clearly not going that fast to make them.

In order for the public to understand that a private run police force that consists solely of violent biker dudes could be corrupt and dangerous, it is necessary to have a reporter do a multi-part expose report on live TV.

In the FUTURE, some women will sport the popular "just got out of the shower and haven't brushed" hairdo.

I learned that most of Tucker's problems would have easily been solved (or not even come up at all) if he just wore his future hi-tech laser glove all the time.

Kevin invested in the Milo and Otis brand. I learned that Kevin wasted his money.

MST3Kgirl

Nothing softens the blow of having the corpse of your dead sister lying in your kitchen then spending the night in the next room over with David Carradine.

Mike needs to eat his Funnyuns alone.

Soundtracks actually warranted Howard Jones copycat music.

David Carradine had a great paunch.

Wernski

I learned that Citizen Operated Police Incorporated abbreviated is C.O.P.S., not C.O.P.I. as you might think.

I learned that there used to be a soda called Like Cola... used to be IN THE FUTURE!

They are the second cousin, once removed, of the unlit, unmarked railroad crossing in downtown Las Vegas.

I learned it is possible to be a villain and drink, and savor, oh, yes, savor, a large quantity of brandy without once, ever so once, making a quip.

Tony Farms AKA Puma Man

I learned that David Carradine didn't even TRY to get in shape for this role.

I see where Seagal gets it from.

Raccoon Cohabitator

I learned that Carradine, like Rommel, hit him. He hit Big Jake.

That has got to be the biggest WTF moment in this movie.
