Why is it that both He-Man and Skeletor had to make do with rounded safety swords? I know they're exceptional but evidently they're also special.

They are hacking and slashing weapons, not piercing blades.

There are certain posts on this forum that might be considered in some circles to be something called jokes.

Yes, those would include, for example, a post that deliberately ignores the fact that the swords in toys are intended for little children to play with and instead runs with the conceit that the action figures that wield them are educationally subnormal and cannot be trusted with sharp edges...

Oh, that was a toy sword?

Yes, but the Staff was real. It was a real trick convincing the Louvre to grant me access to the statue. Pretty hard getting the arms from Hasbro too. I had to commision a huge skeletor toy and pry them off myself. It was worth it, though. :^)

I am sure this must have been asked many times by now... but will Tom Bombadil appear?

Doesn't the second movie they are making mostly take place between The Hobbit and LotR? Maybe it would make sense for him to show up there.

You kinda have your thumb rather than your finger on the pulse of what appeals to fans there.

Sideswipe

Maybe if George Lucas was directing that might happen.

Maybe I missed something but weren't the fans pissed when he didn't appear in any of the Lord of the rings movies?

Yes, The Lord of the Rings movies. This is a film of The Hobbit

You know, dragons are cool, the fans would love to see Chrysophylax Dives in this film in addition to Smaug; he can be voiced by Peter Serafinowicz Stephen Merchant.
