103 Movies You Have To See or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Poll

[MontyServo]

Aww. No love for Dumbo? Its core message of, "It's OK to be different- In fact it's better!" is one I've carried with me my whole life.

I thought the message was about the Placebo Effect.

See, and I always thought the message was "This is an acceptable representation of black people."

[Tripe]

Damn you Monty, I was in the middle of posting that!

[Pak-Man]

Hey, compare the wise heroes of Dumbo to any modern role played by Chris Tucker and tell me which one is more acceptable. :^)

[Tripe]

Chris Tucker still gets work?

[MontyServo]

Actually he is doing a stand up tour this summer.

Chris Tucker is a comedian?

Who knew you were such a fan of Tucker's observational humour.

We could start by confessing what we haven't seen yet.  Maybe if there are some that a lot of us haven't seen, we should all watch it and talk about it.  Or we could work on our own lists and report back.

So I haven't seen:
4 - Seven Samurai (partial)
5 - Deep Throat
6 – Brazil (partial)
17 - Apocalypse Now
21 - Once Upon A Time In The West
24 - Blazing Saddles (partial)
33 - The Muppet Movie (1979) (partial)
37 - The Great Escape
44 - The Bride Of Frankenstein
45 - Forbidden Planet
50 - Godzilla (1954)
55 - Metropolis
68 - Dawn Of The Dead (1978)
73 - The Exorcist (partial)
80 - Fitzcarraldo
82 - Le Voyage Dans La Lune
85 - Jason And The Argonauts (1963)
90 - Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?
92 - The Rocky Horror Picture Show (partial)
93 - Hedwig And The Angry Inch
94 - Charlie Chaplin's The Kid
101 - It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World

[MontyServo]

55 - Metropolis
61 - Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
80 - Fitzcarraldo
