this makes me sad... as the absolute only thing he had going for him was a lack of self-awareness in the goddamn wretchedness of his work... This project will obviously be awful, but I'm sure it will lack that innocent touch of retard that made The Room so special.

He lost that as soon as he tried to pretend that The Room was a comedy.

But he gained it back when he continued to describe it as an earnest drama, proving he doesn't know that genre labels have actual meanings.

I also thought of a story device for "The Room II" .... in which Dinny has taken over the room, and has essentially "become" Johnny in a psychological form.  Kind of like Psycho III where someone else was running the motel and somehow took on the Bates' mental issues, mother and all.
