YES!!!! YES!!!  I was hoping they'd do this one.  I told myself the day the DVD came out that I wasn't going to purchase it until there's a Rifftrax.  YAY!!!!!!!!!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Is it possible for you guys to please turn up the volume on your Youtube videos? My laptop volume is maxed out and I still can't hear a thing.

Sweet!!! I love this movie, own it, and am excited for the riff!!!

I also agree with the post up there that said sometimes it seems they are riffing some of the films just because it's "expected" ..... Those are the ones that I find the most disappointing.

I didn't really see this one coming (yet at least), so I am also hoping for a great riff
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

There had better be a reference to Professor Bobo, or the poop will fly!

Ooooooo. A three hole punch. Swanky!

BTW- Why the heck is the Youtube sidebar filled up with Alex Jones segments? Those  aren't the usual recommendations that show up with your stuff.

Maybe there's a crossover we're unaware of between Rifftrax & conspiracy theorists. Hey, if Richard Linklater converted Bruce Willis with an Alex Jones DVD...

So, where does Rifftrax fit into the New World Order?

Don't worry, we're on it...
Conor, would you mind giving an update on the alleged Logan's Run Rifftrax? Like, will it ever exist or is it something a forum member made up in a fever dream?

Logan's Run was apparently chosen by the crowd at Comic con last year.

I dunno if we'll end up doing it.  I don't think it would be worth our time for the low number of people who would end up buying it. I guess that makes us devious panel doing people.

AdamCerious

What about one of the other films mentioned at the panel?

Oh. I was under the misimpression it was one that MKB actually wanted to do. Thanks for setting the record straight.
It's rather depressing that only a small percentage of Rifftrax patrons would be interested in films made before Star Wars.  :-\

What about last year's 80's Rifftrax like Highlander or Karate Kid 3? Did those not sell well?

When it comes to older stuff, the public domain VOD features out-perform the mp3 tracks pretty substantially in numbers sold and revenue generated.
Any issues with the RiffTrax main page should be directed to support@rifftrax.com Attempts to engage with me directly about such matters will result in ridicule.

Darth Geek

I'm guessing they were into doing it when it was suggested at the panel, but they probably watched it in preparation and thought it wouldn't make for a good target. Just a guess.

For me, the VODs can really inspire those MST3K glory days feelings at times. I remember when I first saw Planet of Dinosaurs, it was like being transported back in time.

I wonder if Logan's Run was like the reverse scenario of D-WAR, where at COMIC-CON they seemed to be like 'oh man, what are we getting into' and it turned out to be a successful riffing target.

That's interesting, I wonder why that is?  I've pretty much given up on MKB riffs of new movies myself, 80's stuff and VOD are the only official riffs I buy
