Guys let's get back to the serious issue at hand. Ewoks blinking. It's as much of a national crisis as that other thing that happened back awhile ago.

EWOKS ARE BLINKING! OMG it's the end times! It's terrorism! It's the republicans! It's the demycrats! It's MOLE PEOPLE!   :speechless:

As if blinking will make us now belive they are real and not kids in costumes... ::)

Lucas probably had some kind of argument with someone about making the costumes for the ewoks have eyelids, and now he gets to win decades later by adding them...  It sometimes seems like he does some of this out of spite, people complained about how lame the Nooooo was in III, so he uses it to ruin the ending of the best scene in VI...

The set is now around $80, do I want the new IV, V, and the deleted scene discs that bad?  I'll probably cave in and order it....

Fair enough, but even forcing people to think about art from a deconstructed sense is important to art history in my opinion. I think him because he was basically dissing consumerism and the empty lives of people. If he was alive now, he would have exhibits of Wal-Mart IMO.

I am proud to report I gently swayed some people last night away from buying them on blu-ray, and made
a very convincing case that the VHS masters were a better(and cheaper) investment.

Wait, wait.

The ewoks blink now?

Confound that George Lucas!
I blame people who use extinct terminology. for example, I think when George Lucas
was talking to people, somebody said "I can't stand the blinkin' Ewoks", than George
Lucas went "Hmmm, hey Rick, I have a brilliant idea!"

In an art museum you appreciate the individual pieces up close to see the craftsmanship and sense of space and such, and nothing of his benefits in any way from that.  He doesn't belong there.
The more correct statement is: that is why you go to a museum.  It's why I go too, for what it's worth.  It isn't necessarily the reason that everyone goes.  That brings us back to the issue of subjectivity that I mentioned above.

I don't think the Virgin Mary with vaginas all over it was art, or at least "artful."  I think the artist was attempting to offend.  I have an artist friend who completely disagrees.  She thinks it's "brilliant."

So, I guess some things don't have to be any good and can still be considered art.

I think a well cooked meal can be a work of art.  Of course, that may be because I'm hungry right now.

Here's what I have to say about this discussion: Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know!

I know these truths to be self evident

But what if I'm standing on the north pole?  All I have is south is south....  So much for your stink'n truths, can't believe anyone anymore.   :( >:(

You know you have the brain of a five year old, and I bet he was glad to be rid of it.  I have half a mind to join a club and beat you over the head with it, but I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.

Shall I make more Groucho Marx references, or have I done enough damage?

Can't you see what I am trying to tell you?  I love you.

You can hardly call me a fortune hunter. When I first propose to her I thought she only had $7 million, but the extra million has never effect my feeling for her.

We will show them a price that will knock their eyes out, after we knock their eyes out we can charge them whatever we want.

What do you think of Basquiat , Anais, Im? I think Warhol was a good inspirational figure not unlike say Peggy Guggenheim in some regard, and had some very interesting things to say about art in general but while not all of his stuff is horrible, his importance to the theory of art outweighs his contributions to the body of art.

Back to the topic though, I have a friend who's overjoyed because, with this new release, he can finally see himself being killed by Ewan McGregor.

I guess I should play along even though this has nothing to do with Star Wars.
I shot an Elephant in my pajamas, don't ask me how he got into my pajamas.

Young man you've got the brain of an 8 year old boy, I bet he was glad to get rid
