Cars 2, I firmly believe, was made to sell toys and capitalize on the success of the first. Pixar messed up badly, either by caving to Disney's demands (if they made them), giving into greed, or by simply making a very poor decision to create a needless sequel with an unimaginative premise.

THEN DON'T FUCKING SEE IT!!! THE MOVIE IS CLEARLY AIMED AT SIX YEAR OLDS .... FUCK!!!!!!! HOW MUCH GLUE WERE YOU SNIFFING DURING THE ENDLESS COMMERICIALS TO THINK THIS WAS FOR YOU?!?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ok, just got back from Cars 2... It's shit for any adult who holds Pixar as some fluffy comfy security blanket substitute for their own childhoods... For actual kids, Cars 2 works quite well. Mater does and says stupid shit, cool adventure and action stuff ensue, kids laugh, it all works in the end.

So you are saying there is no such thing as a bad movie?  Do you go to see every movie ever made and have you ever said that a movie was bad?  If you have ever not liked a movie then by your own logic you should be forced to kill yourself because you are just as bad as us evil Monsters who don't think Cars 2 is the greatest film ever made.  I think even kids movies should be held to higher standard,Pixar and Disney's past movie prove that just because a movie is aimed at kids doesn't mean it has to be a brain dead toy ad.

If I ever catch you saying you didn't like a movie i will come down on you like a ton of bricks.  By your logic every movie ever made should be given the best picture award because every movie is liked by someone.  Maybe some day you will get your dream world where anyone who dares question the supreme rulers in Hollywood is gunned down in the streets but that day is not today.

Is it me, or does your logic invariably lead to people either being forced to kill themselves or rot in prison for the rest of their lives?

Hey I don't think it's right to charge people $15 to see an ad for toys.  I also think I have the right to say a movie sucks,I don't think all movies are the best films ever made. Some movies stink and are a waist of time and money.  To you know have many hungry people could have been fed with the money that went into making this stink burger.  Other people are the ones who are acting like I am Hitler for not praising this movie as the greatest film ever made.  I am just pointing out that at some point in their lives they are just as guilty as I am of not liking a movie.

Anyone here who doesn't think Plan Nine is great work of art is just as guilty as I am of the crime of not liking a movie.

Sigh. Doc, one- you haven't seen the film. Your view on it sucking or not is invalid. We're not calling you out on not liking it. We're calling you out on your "It's the worst thing in the world!" hyperbolic argument based on evidence that seems to come mainly out of your imagination.

Two, really? "You could have fed so many people with the money used to make that film?" You're dragging that idea out?

Doc? The $200 million cost of the film? That *was* used to feed people. They didn't just set $200 million in cash on fire and *boom* a film arose from the ashes. Thousands of people worked on the animation and the sound and the graphics and everything else in the film. Tens of thousands of people more helped market the film, or helped make copies of the print or were paid to deliver those copies or printed up the posters or hundreds of different ancillary jobs that every film that gets sent to market goes through. And If you're going to advance the "Well, that money should have been spent on feeding people instead" line of argument, let me ask. Doc? According to your own reports, you've bought 7 DVDs/Blu-rays/Box sets in the past two weeks. Wouldn't it have been better to donate that money to a local food bank or homeless shelter instead of just buying another DVD? That $20 you spent on that copy of Toy Story 3 yesterday could have helped a battered women's shelter buy a few meals worth of food for the women and the kids also sheltered there. Is having that space on your DVD shelf filled really worth keeping a child's stomach empty? Is it?

I refuse to spend $15 on a movie that's trailer was one of the most painful things I have ever seen in my life, also we are talking about one of the worst reviewed movies of the year.  I am not sticking my neck out by saying this thing stinks.  Also common sense says that the biggest reason this thing was made was because the last movie has sold other $6 billion worth of toys.

How much money have you donated in the past two weeks?  Last time I checked I wasn't the one blowing whole state's budgets on a toy ad and then cursing anyone who dared say it wasn't a great work of art out.  Strange how you have problems with how I spend under $100 of my money but not with how Pixar spends theirs.  Maybe if you stopped worshiping the solid gold statue of the pixar lamp I am sure you offer human blood to ever day you could see that Pixar did not create the earth. But hey what are the odds of that happening.

Also all but the Toy Story 3 disc were Birthday gifts.

Who why do you only respond to random select things.  You seem to ignore anything that attempts to deal with you logically.  You also respond to the other responses in a really bizaar fashion.

QuoteI refuse to spend $15 on a movie that's trailer was one of the most painful things

Then you have one of the least sad lives on the face of the planet.  Id say undoubtedly stubbing my toe is worse than ANY trailer i have EVER seen.  Your life has really been that pain free?

Quotewe are talking about one of the worst reviewed movies of the year.

No we arent.  we arent even approaching that.  Hell this year had your highness and all sorts of shit thats reviewed WAY WAY lower than this silly kids movie.

QuoteAlso common sense says that the biggest reason this thing was made was because the last movie has sold other $6 billion worth of toys

Common sense does not say this.  it doesnt come even close.  Also as i have said in multitple posts here all of which you have ignored you have not brought forth a logical argument to tie your toy theory in with this movie or even the last one.  People have already pointed out it sold 400000000 dollars in ticket sales.

Please provide a single quote of a single member here who said cars 2 was art.  Also i would personally like to know what poor ignored state has a measly 200 mil as thier state budget.
