"Okay, make this quick. I started downloading a GIF on Prodigy and its gonna be done in twelve minutes."

"Real team of winners Magneto's assembled here: Boy Meets World extra, the Human Census, Prince."

"This kind of fighting really needs some turnbuckles and an oblivious ref."

"Well, so much for Cerebro, I guess."

"This place is starting to look like the beginning of a Terminator movie."

There were a bunch I wanted to remember but only two that I thought were worth the price of admission:

"No one here has heard of me?  Really?  I mean I'm freaking Magneto."

"Charles is no longer in charge."

ManUnderMask

The whole "I Will Survive" thing had me in stitches.
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

"From the director that brought you Rush Hour 3." (It's funny 'cause it's true. Film nerd that I am, I would've liked more Brett Ratner jokes, but I guess he's a less distinctive hack than Michael Bay.)

"Kelsey Grammer caused these accidents just by being in the movie."

"Poor James, he just read the reviews of The Box."

Damn, there's so many more. I'll have to take notes when I watch it again & modify this post. I love Mike's Patrick Stewart impression.

Brett Ratner has actually directed a surprisingly few number of films.  This and the Rush Hour movies are by far the most famous thing he's done.  I was surprised his bad reputation came from such a slim body of work that seems more forgettable than actually "awful".

AHHH SIDESHOW BOB!!!

Martin van Buren joined the Blue Man Group.

The pretty shirtless angel boy landed in the Castro district, where he was worshiped as a god.

Hey, Iceman, I found that Last Airbender kid! Let's beat the crap out of him!

The Queen comes into play! Chessssssss!!!!

Xavier's entire will just read "Make my tombstone the biggest."

"Ooh, I like this one, Charles"
MMOOOOOMMMMMYYYYYY!!!!

Oh no, now she's going to turn into a regular naked... sexy... Rebecca... Romijn SUDDENLY I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!

Remember teenage girls, give up your amazing superpowers if there's a boy who seems to kinda like you.

It's an evil Christmas miracle!
"Hey, you kids! Those boxes are for shipping! Not for creating a world of pure imagination!"

He also directed Red Dragon, which is to the Hannibal films what The Last Stand is to the X-Men films. Except that Red Dragon was already made 2 decades prior by Michael Mann as Manhunter. Ratner didn't help his reputation any when he said something to the effect of "Manhunter's just an extended Miami Vice episode".

He also did that heartwarming "career vs family" Nicholas Cage movie The Family Man.  :gouge:

Back to X3:
Quote"Ratner also gets carried away comparing Magneto to Che Guevara, and refers to John Powell's woozy, overblown score as bringing "emotional resonance through these repeated leitmotifs." Best of all is when Ratner points out an FBI interrogator played by Anthony Heald, who, he informs us, was "Dr. Chilton in my movie Red Dragon," while presumably silently praying no one remembers that Heald played the same role in The Silence Of The Lambs."

Favorites that haven't already been mentioned:

"Okay, where are we now with Magneto's chess metaphor."
"I think these guys are mostly Backgammon pieces and pegs from Battleship."

"You mess with the Bull, you get the horns."
"Isn't he called Spike."
"Umm, You mess with the Spike, you get the weird forearm antler projectiles..."
"That's how that saying goes, yes..."

"It's sad. The Kool-Aid Man's dark roid-rage phase cost him his commercial gig."
"OH NOO!!"

Also, really liked the Prodigy (which I used to have) and MOMMY! jokes at the beginning.

Hey, I liked "Red Dragon".   It did a pretty good job of sticking to the (excellant) book.   More than I can say for the pile of crap that was the movie "Hannibal" which decided, "man, I hated the ending in the book, let me totally redo it for no good reason".

The chess jokes are hilarious, and Bill's delivery of "The Queen comes into play! Chessssssss!!!!" was perfect.

Thanks, Scribblesense, for remembering a bunch of the ones I tried remembering (specifically these ones above).

Darth Geek

Thanks for creating us, Mr. Lee. He's a boner joke.

And suddenly it's the Barry Bonds story.

Jokes about bad CGI during the bridge scene, but not a peep on the CGI botox for young Xavier and Magneto?

By the way, Rebecca Romijn is smokin' hot anyway, but there's something about the black hair that ramps it up a couple notches.  YOWZA!!!

Yeah, what gives? I was totally expecting something about the digi-faces.

Ratner's problem is he has no real style of directing that makes him unique. There are such things as Tarantino movies, Scorsese movies, and even Michael Bay movies, but with Brett Ratner, he just wants to get the basic elements of film-making done on time and under budget.

I don't have a problem with "hired guns". I do have a problem with someone who tries so hard to be an auteur and fails miserably.
