Have they done any Gary Oldman jokes? He was once a dwarf, you know.

For plenty more Gary Oldman jokes, you can check out our iRiff of "Lost In Space" as you see him chewing the scenery all over the place.   ;D

Actually, I thought he was the most enjoyable part of that film.
He is, but that's because he's chewing the scenery.
In Hannibal, the scenery chewed him. ("It seemed like a good idea at the time.")
I still want to see a reviewer actually ask an actor like Gary Olman or Jack Nickolson what scenery tastes like.
Not before someone asks William Shatner.  Ever heard the "sabotage" tape?  Or the thing with Bubba The Love Sponge (or was it Mancow) about the toupee?
:D
I don't think Shatner has ever eaten anything other than scenery in his life (apparently it's rather fattening) so he wouldn't have a point of comparison.
If scenery is fattening, then Al Pacino should be driving a double-scooter everywhere he went.

The good ones are allowed a little "nosh" once and awhile.

Maybe scenery's like beef jerky or bubblegum. After all, we call it *chewing* the scenery, not *swallowing* the scenery. Though that may not be a bad term... especially for certain opulent directors. Brian De Palma chews scenery, swallows it, and films the undigested scenery in his stool.

But only if Hitchcock has chewed it first....

Speaking of Gary Oldman and chewing scenery, I just ran across this on Youtube and had to post it here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uIBcgNh4mU

He could give Gerard Butler a run for his money in the "expelling teeth from your mouth acting style" department.

Also, how the heck do you embed Youtube videos in posts?

I think I've heard enough jokes based on the premise that Gary Busey and/ or Nick Nolte are crazy and messy now.

Garry Oldman is fucking brilliant imo

I'm also really sick of the "Mmmm that's good _____" jokes, I honestly thought it was annoying and old the first time I heard it.

I'm sorry if this isn't quite the place for this, or if I'm bumping a thread I shouldn't, but I've spent the past three days searching these forums & the web at large & finally decided to register here & just ask:

Where did that joke come from? I know I've heard it before, the first time I heard it in a Rifftrax I knew it sounded familiar but for months (years now I guess) I haven't been able to recall where its from. Finally after watching the Return of the Jedi Rifftrax again the other day, I decided to get to the bottom of it... only to realize googling "mmm that's good" was retarded. I've spent hours over the last few days looking through these forums to see if I could find anything about that joke, and this post seemed to be the only reference to it I could find. Where did this line come from, originally? The whole delivery of the line is so familiar, its driving me crazy.

I am pretty sure it's Jackie Gleason.  When he wasn't busy being Ralph Kramden, one of Gleason's stock characters on The Jackie Gleason Show was a fellow named Reginald van Gleason III.  Whenever he'd take a drink, his reaction was always "Mm-hmm, that's good booze."

As I said, pretty sure about this.  If your search engine of choice fails to confirm this ... uh, sorry.  Try Johnny Carson next. (Though I think he was aping Gleason.)

Oh my god, thank you. Gleason! I haven't even thought of Reggie Van Gleason in a decade or so. And now I remember why it sounded SO familiar - Jon Stewart's use of it on The Daily Show. He does it pretty frequently (or did a couple of years ago, at least) and sadly that's why I remembered it so clearly. Thanks, I never would have figured that out on my own, even if I remembered Stewart doing the impression.

Edit: oh, and apparently people refer to Stewart's "Mmm, that's good ____"  impression as the Art Fern voice, one of Carson's characters. But yeah, that's totally Gleason.

How about when Kevin smacks his lips hungrily or thirstily?

So and So... The Motion Picture! and it's identical twin, So and So... The Movie!

More (something) than (famous director's name)'s film "(same thing)"

This is ok when the film actually exists, not when it's made up as in:

More slow driving in a blue Mustang than Andy Warhol's film, "Slow Driving in a Blue Mustang" (from "Birdemic")

...but have you seen any of Warhol's films, or are you even aware of them? Warhol did stuff exactly like this. His film "Sleep" was five hours of a person sleeping. Empire was an 8 hour, slow motion shot of the Empire State Building. They're not just random shout out to a famous director. They're specific references to a director's style of movie making.
