Why isn't he riffing in all the movies? If nothing else, having two commentators broadens the variety in which jokes are delivered, and obviously two writers are better than one. Besides I?ve only met Mike once but Kevin twice, we?re practically BFFs.

My best guess is that Kevin has other things going on for himself.. I suspect he'll be riffing more in the future sometimes along with Mike, but we have to concider how busy these guys are..

If you are expecting MST3K 2.0 then Rifftrax will dissapoint you. This is a different animal all together. The Mike only Rifftrax are great. Star Trek V with Kevin was good but I still put Roadhouse ahead of it.

However, Mike may have some Film Team guests from time to time, or other folks who he enjoys working with.

They said that the 2.99 price sticker is the norm for all the 'trax.  The X-Men track will be the same price as the others.

I'd be happy if they stopped having Kevin riff stuff.
I just recently saw the Star Trek V rifftrax and was quite disappointed.
Kevin just came off as angry and hateful (and really offensive in parts) instead of goofy and fun like Mike and Bill.
I was surprised at how unfunny most of his comments were since I always enjoyed Tom Servo on MST3K a bit more than Crow.  When I want to sit down and have a good laugh, I simply prefer harmless insults (such as Mike making fun of Patrick Swayze's shirtlessness or good actors losing dignity from being in X-Men) over Kevin Murphy cursing people and calling for the deaths of cast members.

The X-Men rifftrax, on the other hand, was hilarious and as fun and enjoyable as I had hoped it would be.
I was very pleased to see that Bill was much funnier than I ever gave him credit for with MST3K.
(I haven't gotten to Top Gun yet, unfortunately)
I say get Bill and Trace (or Frank Conniff) to riff with Mike instead of any more Kevin.

Well you might want to avoid rifftrax.com for the next two releases. Kevin is doing both Halloween and the Matrix. As far as Kevin riffing I welcomed bit of the dark side. The darker harsher jokes on MST3K were always my favorites.

I think the key here is to have both Kevin AND Bill in on all the rifftrax releases. That way 'everyone' is happy.

Yeah, Kevin was a little crass in his first Rifftrax outing, but I'm all for it! That's why it's my #1 Rifftrax! I hadn't laughed so hard in quite some time before hearing Kevin go all out on a very deserving Star Trek V!!

Personally, I hope Mike, Kevin, Bill, and any other willing MST3K alum continue to make me laugh my ass off with these fabulous Rifftrax for the rest of our lives!!!!!!!

I welcome Kevin or any of the alums over Disembaudio. To me, the Mike solo riffs are fairly weak. They are MUCH stronger and funnier with Kevin, and especially Bill (though I have 2 w/ Bill and only 1 w/ Kevin to compare).

Like it or not, Rifftrax is MST3K 2.0, just without the host segments. It is probably closer to 1.5 though, since the audio is not mixed and you don't have the interaction on-screen, but the choice of riffable movies is unlimited.
It is far from being "a different animal all together".
