Or Pepper? Another "boys only club"?

Don't link to Cracked, dammit! Now I know what I'll be reading for the next couple hours...  >:(  :D

On a related note, from the introduction to season 4 in the ACEG:

QuoteSo you can understand how irritated I get being pigeonholed and sterotyped. This irrritates me to no end. The assumption that I'm on staff simply to provide "the woman's perspective" overlooks some important points: [silly joke] ... Second, my pal and coworker Bridget Jones has been writing for the show for quite some time before I joined the staff, Collen Henjum too. Third, I cannot and will not speak for an entire populace. I'm too busy. Fourth, there's the assumption that there is only one point of view for all women... Seventh and last it's quite clear I provide the size 9 shoe perspective. There. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to lash out. But sometimes the whole thing makes me so upset I can hardly talk about boys or go shopping...

It'd be funny to have a girl inside a Hulk Buster sized suit because the major perception would be that only a man could handle a suit utilizing that much power.

Of course not. In order to deal with the Hulk, your power level would have to be over 9000. No mere female could handle that power!

(No, I'm not serious.)

Goku could handle the Hulk then.  ;)
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Friend of mine says he found this movie disappointing after seeing Kick-Ass...that he found the latter much more creative and fun.

Anyone else feel this way?

To me, they're not really the same kind of movie. Whereas Kick-Ass is intended as violent farce, Iron Man 2 is pretty much a straightforward action movie. It just happens to be really good at it.  :)

Doctor Who?

NOW THAT IS WHAT I LIKE SEEING IN THE SUMMER!

I'll let you know what I thought of it in more detail a little later I just got back.

RoninFox

Got to see it earlier today (and at the Cinebar, so I got to eat some tasty mozzarella sticks and an order of fries with it)

Good times, enjoyed the hell out of it.  Very in keeping with the quality and tone of the first movie.  The only thing I didn't like is having to get used to a new actor in the Col Rhodes role, though once I did finally get used to it, Cheadle did great with it.  The fight scenes were improved, and its great to see action that can move and be exciting but keep the camera back far enough that you can actually see the fight as opposed to moving the camera in to see a punch through blur.  The last battle scene with Whiplash could have been a bit longer, but I was still satisfied.  Downey was great all over again, Rourke was a perfect fit, got plenty of good laughs at Sam Rockwell and Gary Shandling, it was good to see Sam Jackson in more of the movie instead of just the stinger.

So yeah, you could say I enjoyed it.  Great stinger on the end of this one too.

Wow.  Just saw that and I can't think of a thing to say except....MMhhhh,Still trying think of something to say,...............still thinking...I think I am coming up with something,.......oh Yeah.

GOOD NIGHT!  Who approved that add! Boy am I glad that coffee isn't around any more.

Doctor Who?

Ok on to the movie.  I have to say it reminded me of Superman 4.   It reminded me of the good idea that was at the hart of Superman 4,I liked seeing it given the budget and the time to be done right.  Both are movies about heroes who are single handedly protecting America and let their egos get out of control and start thinking they can do it all but while Superman for gets distracted by nuclear weapons and the worst villain ever, this movie sticks to the point.  For the first time I felt like someone making a comic book movie had seen what other movies did wrong and avoided the pitfalls.  Good actors were hired to act not just stand around and react to CGI.  The character stuff was a key part of the plot and made the action more exciting instead of stopping the plot and action for a good half of the movie.  The romantic subplot was kept as just that ,A SUB plot and unlike other movies I didn't hate the couple and it didn't feel forced into the movie.  The movie didn't drag,I think it was just over two hours not nearly three.  I could tell what was going on in the action scenes.  Most important of all, even in it's darker moments the movie never lost it's sense of fun and that is what I go to a comic book movie for.  This movie should be shown in film classes on how to make a comic book movie 101.

The most enjoyable comic book movie since Superman the movie if you ask me and one of the best summer movies in years  9.0/10.

But it would be a 10 hour movie and consist of nothing but one insanely long fight sequence. An additional two sequels of equal length would be needed to show the end of the battle and aftermath.

I liked it, although not as much as the first one.  It started to drag on a little in the middle.  I would have liked to have seen a little more to the final battle with Whiplash.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

Yeah, the final battle definitely had a "Oh yeah, Mickey Rourke is in this movie" feel to it.
