Boy am I glad that coffee isn't around any more.

Sure it is.

I can't believe it is still around,I have never seen it in a store.  The only reason I know what it is is because they used to sponsor some old radio shows and you can still hear their adds on them.

So, is it just me, or does this ad walk a VERY thin line between "kinda sexy" and "domestic abuse?"
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

I don't know. It's got me thinking of incest for a moment. Don't know why.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Nope, it's just you, ya sicko.  ;)

Doctor Who?

The more I see that picture the more disturbed I am by it.  The fact that it is supposed to make woman want to buy coffee just strikes me as disturbing.

I just want to know how you can test the freshness of ground coffee in a sealed can. Was the "best before..." stamp not invented yet in the '50s?

FINALLY saw this movie (screwed up the ticket order, had to delay a week...) The action was definitely up a notch - which figures, seeing as they got Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars microseries) to storyboard it. Do wish Rourke has actually been more physically involved in the final battle, but it was still satisfying enough.

And while it was fun and all, I do wish there'd been a little more of an immediate feel of actual danger during the action. There was a bit of it in the Monaco fight, but still...I know Favreau's sticking with his comedy comfort zone, and the movie's not supposed to be The Dark Knight in terms of tone - but just a little darker would've been great.

And for god's sake, CAN HOLLYWOOD PLEASE GET THE SOUND OF A MINIGUN CORRECT? It sounds like a chainsaw, not like a silenced submachine gun! Gah!

...but in all honesty, those are my only gripes. The movie was very enjoyable.

Tripe

Really liked it, mentioned some reservations in the general movie thread.

But yeah I'd have preferred the original choice to play Black Widow, but I'm sure I can see her in tight leather at some other point in time.

Pretty good all told.  :)

Johnny Unusual

Yeah, I really enjoyed it.  It wasn't as focused as the first movie, but it doesn't feel as messy as so e other sequels.  Avengers stuff aside, I actually wasn't  a big fan of the fact that

On the plus side, I loved how Tony uses the shield!
