I think it's kinda stupid to have the Human Torch play Cap.  Do they think enough people have forgotten that he played Torch?

It's weird enough that Ryan Reynolds is playing Deadpool and Green Lantern.  But at least that's a Marvel and a DC comic.  Not like Fantastic Four & Cap.

Did Hollywood forget there's other actors out there?

As much as it annoys me I'm still going to watch them.

BTW, do we figure this guaranties that if there's ever another FF movie, it will be a reboot?

(personally, I'll miss Chiklis and Gruffudd in that order)

I read that there isn't going to be a third, and Marvel has plans to reboot the series.

I should point out that I hate MTV and only got linked there through Wikipedia:  http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2008/03/20/fantastic-four-3-probably-not-happening-reveals-chris-evans/
I like artificial grape flavor, but I hate real grapes.  A paradox!?

Marvel can't reboot the series themselves because the right still are at Fox. Since Fox would not want them to be reverted back, they just have to work on the movie to prevent that.

Geez, really, Marvel? I know they're rebooting the Fantastic Four and soon they will be represented by a whole new group of actors, but really? I like Chris Evans. I thought Push was really cool. But Captain America, Marvel's version of Superman? Huge, powerful dude who could crush your (red) skull with his fist? Unless the guy bulks up Stallone HGH stylee and is upstaged by his own neck muscles, I just can't see believing it. Captain Average Movie Soldier, sure. But Captain Motherlovin' America? I don't know. Seems like another bad Marvel casting choice, like Thomas Jane, Ben Affleck, Nicholas Cage, Ed Norton, and fucking Travolta. None of them right for their parts.

I swear to God, if he says, "WOO-HOO!" even once, I'm going to hire Russell Crowe to punch him in the face.
Don't forget Michael Keaton as Batman.  TOTALLY not buff AT ALL!   ;)

Or Hugh Jackman.  TOO TALL!

I wouldn't really say Hugh wasn't right for the part though. And I didn't want to bring DC into this. They have their own problems.

Is there an emoticon for "missed the point"?

I saw the point. I just didn't care. What am I, your puppet?

Absolutely not. There are other, perfectly legitimate, reasons for one person to have his/her hand up another person's ass.

No real offense meant.  The internet does not convey sarcasm well, if that was your intention.  But it didn't seem that way.

Um, cookies ARE the point, so I highly doubt Cookie Monster would miss them.

He seems to intend to make jokes pretty often, never seems to pan out though.

Isn't it a little soon to reboot Fantastic Four?  It's only been two movies and, what, 4 or 5 years?
