And we don't have to put up with any advertising between shows.
The ads on ITV never bothered me, the BBC is hardly immune from commercial placement  as it is and it still charges the bloody stupid fee. And all so Germany won't win the Second World War.

You haven't seen ITV recently.  It's a bloody mess.

They always were, I'd have still preferred the BBC to run ads.

In a Civil War Movie, because I don't recall having seen them much if at all.

Trench Warfare

The Spectators at Manassas/Bull Run

I'll be working on a film about the civil war and I know the likely writer but I'm not sure yet which battles will feature so I don't know if I can influence the script to include either of those elements. :)

In line with that, I'd love to see a World War 1 movie.  If you ever read about World War one, it seems horrifying.  More so than most wars, that is.  How freaked out do you think the Germans were when the first tank ever came thundering across a battlefield, deflecting bullets?  Or when the first gas bombs were used in Belgium?

Paths of Glory is pretty awesome.

I'm hoping to see a super hero team versus super villain team battle actually done right.

If The Avengers movie brings back not just the heroes from the other movies, but the villains as well, that would be pretty sweet.  It probably won't happen, but if it did, I could stop watching movies forever, content in the knowledge that I will never find anything as good and pure put to film ever again.

Of the Marvel villains in the Marvel movie universe so far only Abomination survived. Iron Monger kind of exploded at the end of Ironman. Of course there might be hope for Whiplash not being offed in Ironman 2. As far as the upcoming Thor, Loki is an immortal Norse God so he might be a viable team member. And with Hugo Weaving rumored to be Red Skull, he might just be the leader of the Villains. Of course now you have me thinking of Superfriends and the Legion of Doom.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Would Loki really agree to work with a team of supervillains, though? Human ones at that?

He's in The Cabal, a group made up of Norman Osbourne, Dr. Doom, The Hood, and Taskmaster.  Also, in the Ultimates, he worked with The Liberators to defeat them.  Pretty much, if it involves screwing over Thor/creating havoc, Loki's all for it.

True, the villians typically die at the end of the movies, but come on...these are comic books!  The only people who stay dead are Uncle Ben and Bruce Wayne's parents.

Incidentally, have there been any What If comics about those unfortunates?

I would LOVE to see the WhatIf comic where Batman was Superman.  Flying around in the Batman suit.

I would also really like to see a full movie of Batman vs. Aliens vs. Predator.  That short mini movie they did years ago.  That was so cool, it gave me chills when I first saw the alien grab the Joker.  I thought, WHATHA WHOTHA HOWTHA... then I heard the noise, and in came the chills of excitement.

Then I squirted a little pee drop when I saw the 3 dots the preds use to aim.  LYK OH MY GAW!!!!

I was more thinking What If The Waynes had never karked it or Uncle Ben was still puttering about.

They'd not be the stupidest subject ever cover in the comic books.

Yeah. I've seen a What if where Aunt May was shot instead of Uncle Ben and another where Spidey  stopped the mugger. And during the 60s, there was an imaginary story where a depowered Kal became Batman and Lex became Superman. (And Bruce's folks have been alive in a number of issues. Justice League: A Midsummer's Nightmare, for example and again during Morrison's run on the book.)

The preceding may be interpreted with a KS: Comic Book roll of 13-.
