I still just don't see Adrien Brody as threatening in the slightest. Hopefully he is up to the challenge.

Maybe he can outsmart them instead.

BTW - "A guy stuck on the Predator planet"?   How does the a movie about a race that hunts beings on other planets end up back on their planet running after a human?  And if it's Ahn-uld....he won against the Predator in the first one?  How would he end up there?

Maybe after the first one the other Predators noticed the explosion and captured him as a prize combatant, keeping him alive to compete with. Then he escaped.
Hey, as long as it isn't written by Paul "Writing Sucks" Anderson, it may be a step up.

You know, all the stories about people doing complete re-writes of scripts and getting no screen credit...and about script doctors...I don't know who to blame for anything in Hollywood anymore.

Given the fact that he brags about writing his own scripts for movies, and even if it was re-written by a script doctor, it would be supervised by him, I blame him.

Yeah, and he frequently produces and directs the films he writes.  I also think he's probably made enough money off of the films he's made that the studios leave him to it.

That said: I didn't hate Death Race.  :)

...

Hey, so apparently in this new version the Predator can transform into a motorcycle:

Actually, that's just some custom bike from Pitstop Motors.  :D
More pics: here.

Wow....beautiful....but the word "impaled" comes to mind....

Johnny Unusual

Ew, I don't think I'd want to mount an alien or a predator.

Guy stuck on Predator Planet is no longer Arnold

QuoteSci-Fi Wire got to visit the set of the new "Predators" movie, and is now reporting that one of the actors the site spotted was Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix), who has officially joined the cast, which is already comprised of Adrien Brody, Topher Grace and Danny Trejo.

Fisburne will play Noland, a character being compared to Yoda, who has used his Zen-like abilities to survive among the alien Predators on a deadly hunting planet. This role was rumored to be saved for Arnold Schwarzenegger, but apparently the filmmakers couldn't get the Governor for such a large part.

The new film revolves around a group of elite warriors are hunted by members of a merciless alien race known as Predators. It is produced by Robert Rodriguez, directed by Nimrod Antal (Armored) and is scheduled to hit theaters on July 7th, 2010.

So it IS a large part? I thought it was going to be a quick cameo. I guess I never knew Cowboy Curtis was such a badass.

Plastic Self-Cleaning Duck

Shouldn't Fishburne be too busy with "CSI" to do this?

Tripe

Yeah it'll mean he'll be leaving Gina all alone at home for even longer

......

Hmmm.
