"and santa hangs out with his pal PRINCE OF SPACE"  *or something to that effect
when that was said the entire crowd in my theater applauded. it was magical.

People applauded too, (Oakridge 20, San Jose, CA) That was one of my favorites, too, along with the Rudolph line.

I kept hoping for some reference to "Manos, The Hands Of Fate."
I was surprised they didn't reference Dr. Forrester in any way with The Forrester.

Yeah....that was odd.

What was the name of those toy robots in the commercial short?  When I saw them, I immediately recalled them from my childhood, albeit without the implied (or is it "inferred"?)  sexual overtones, lol.

Me too.  Recurring jokes are cool.  When the third Castle Films short came up, I was joyously anticipating the riff for this one.

Sharktopus

"This plays on a constant loop in Shia LaBeouf's head," got a big laugh in Paramus.

You're really surprised at that?

I was more surpirsed with no use of "Happy Life Day" than that. Well other than the "We tricked you we will be airing The Star Wars Christmas Special." with so few people there I looked a little more crazy when I laughed at that. But nobody agrees with the Cthulhu bit bring crazed laughter.

I know I had to have people looking at me at points of the show.

That got some applause in Trussville, AL as well.  So did the "There's Santa... and his reindeer... on the wing." [/Shatner]

"How does the spider know which to put gloves on and which to put shoes on?"

Glad to see others also enjoyed my personal fave line:  "Here's Santa in Dallas in 1963."

Yes, the rag doll was a total laugh/creep fest, as well as King Ding.  I'm still laughing over this stuff!!

Btw, I've fully incorporated "excited as Dick" into my vernacular ("Wow, a filthy narrator!").

And since the OP already mentioned the infamous Rudolph moment, I'll mention that I was sure to listen closely to hear what the guys had to say afterwards, to which Mike uttered "We missed 3 lines because of that."

You're really surprised that we're surprised?

I'm emotionally confused about Mrs. Rudolph!

24 hours later I'm still laughing myself into incontinence over Kevin's warbled "Poh-ohhhhh-oh-ohhhh-kerface" at the beginning of the tree short.

The "Miller's Crossing" reference, while the no account tree was about to be chopped down; and, "Never let an arsonist decorate your tree"

Oh yeah, I LOVED that one!  ;D

The Rudolph "need you tonight" completely brought the theater down.

However, my favorite short was the "Christmas Dream" with the demonic rag doll.  "To HELL with your personal possessions"  *throws what looks like an ashtray off the table*, Santa reminding the audience that he can take hold of their subconscious at any time.

Also, when the "no account" tree randomly began referring to himself in third person.

I realize that I'm generalizing here, but as is often the case when I generalize, I don't care.
